Hugs from me too if it's acceptable.

It is not trivial. Lying was the one thing my kids knew I would not tolerate.

I will never forget the time Brad's teacher called and said Brad had not turned in a homework assignment the entire semister.  SIX WEEKS!  I called Brad into the room and asked him why he had not been doing his homework.  He said he had been.  I told him I had a teacher on the phone saying he had not done his homework.  He said he was not lying, he had done his homework.  Back to the teacher.  She stated he had not turned in any assignments.  Back to Brad.  No, I did not turn them in, but they are all done and in my locker.  Then he added he was not lying and wanted me to come to school with him in the morning so he could prove it.  We went to school, he opened his locker, and on the top shelf was every homework assignment.  When asked why he did not turn them in, he said he didn't feel like it.  grrrrrr.  kids.

He dropped out of school shortly after that, and 6 weeks later earned his GED.  He went back to make sure his guidance counselor knew and she said no other male student in the district had ever gotten their GED that quick after dropping out.  He just did not like being in school.

It held true in employment for him.  I have never met a better telemarketer.  He has done it for four different companies and been the high seller within 2 weeks of starting.  But he hates being tied to a desk, so he quit.  Now he works outdoors,  supervising a loading dock for a freight company.

SO SORRY FOR THE HIJACK, I GOT CARRIED AWAY.

But the bottom line is, he is a teen.  It will work out.  Just continue being a good parent.  He will appreciate it later.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
