PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGY....

My dear OFF family,
I am so sorry that I haven't had the time to personally thank all of my sistahs and brothers who have sent me beauiful prayers via postings, PMs, emails, cards and phone calls.  Usually I respond to each personally, however, I have been so strapped for time.  My plate is FULL.  However, my heart has been so heavy knowing that I didn't get the opportunity until now to say THANK YOU for using your time to support me!!!  Each of your messages mean more than you will ever know!

Thank you again, and I promise that I will try to "speak" to each of you during my long (and tedious) recovery.

Have a wonderful day....
Hugs, Lora

PS--I am humbled by your caring and would love to continue to feel your support and receive your prayers!

Hey, Missy Lora, you are going to be just fine......

I didn't have as much done as you are going to have but I can tell you, I've not been in any pain, just a little inconvenienced.  I do tire easily so God makes it really easy for you to rest.

I'm so proud of you for taking this step.  I know you are going to love the results.  I read the book.  Pam Wooddell gave it to me as we were both interested, so I know what you are having done....and how much better it could be than having 'THE MAN' himself doing your surgery?????

Yipes.  This is YOUR turn.....you've taken care of everyone else, now you take care of you......

Dying to see the results. Call me anytime.  Just make sure if you call, you leave a message.  I don't always answer my phone.

Aloha little button, Janet!

I love the sentence "I've not been in any pain, just a little inconvenienced." That statement is branded into my mind, and will be my mantra when my surgery date arrives!

I'm so glad that you are a part of this little family.........!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Aloha Lora....Please, no apologies. You have WAY TOO much to do to worry about apologizing right now. We understand....we have all been there in one way or the other.

You and Janet are my heros and "guides"....and I'm clinging to every word you both share because my little "mini surgery" (compared to you two!) is coming all too quickly.

It sounds like you are in wonderful hands...surgeon AND hubby. Be gentle with yourself, and keep the goal in mind. Remember how it felt to have WLS and what the end result of that was.

You will be on my mind Friday for sure! Good luck, sweetie.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Dear Karen,
Thank you for your thoughts and kind words.  I will cling to them tomorrow.

I am praying that this IS all worth it, but one thing is for sure....my journey will be able to continue and not be stuck  in the dead end.

I will have time to keep you in my good thoughts after Monday....so get ready for your journey to move forward, too!

You call me a Hero and a guide.....no dear, just a cyber friend who cares and shares for the benefit of self and others.  This journey has been better than I ever dreamed and one of the reasons is you....you are always there for a comforting word and a post full of wisdom...not to mention the beautiful Hawaiian images!!

Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Lora

Hi Connie,
You are really something....with everything on your PLATE, you still have time to remember me in your thoughts and prayers.     Thank you for that!
I so appreciate your time and caring.  Hope your days are filled with only calmness and good things.

Thanks again, and if I can't update, look for Mary's (Baseball-Mom) 'cause she will probably know even before me (anesthesia and drugs for me--I won't be coherent for a while).

Have a great day and hugs to you,
Lora

PS--How has Nic been??

Lora....Nic is doing okay....he is really tired of all the chemo and still having cancer but he is a fighter and just keeps on doing what he has to do. My hero!!!
He has chemo one week then two weeks off and on and on it goes. He has been having to do this since spring. He will be going back to NYC in January to once again see Dr. Kettering at the Sloan/Kettering Cancer Center. They are trying to get Nic in a situation that he can start receiving 385 treatments. Nic has not qualified before this because of the reoccuring new cancer hot spots. We just keep praying!!
Thank you for asking about him in all that you are going through...it touches my heart!

Love and hugs my friend.....connie d
