Update on myself

Just got home from Omaha today..........what a rainy drive.   I did go shopping after seeing my surgeon and got a winter coat..  I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg buying one since I will be smaller next winter.  So I went to a sports store with my dh and tried on a Nebr. Husker coat and then had my hubby try it on and it fit him also.  My thought was after this year he can wear it............and no he is not a cross dresser.........it is a man's coat.  But it will keep me warm this year and next year he can wear it since he is really into Nebr. football.   It is reversible and has a hood so I should stay warm this winter.  When I go to work tomorrow my coworkers will be suprised they have been giving me grief for the last couple of weeks for not having a coat.

I did see my surgeon today.........last month he took all the fluid (restriction) out of my band.  It had slipped a little and I was having problems keeping anything down and had acid reflux 24 hrs a day.   Today he put in 2cc's and said he would go slow filling it back up.........hopefully this time things will go better.  I did gain 3 pounds in the last 6 weeks .   So now I have to get my butt in gear and get back on the program..........I knew I had no restriciton and kind of went wild a few times with what I was eating.

One more thing while shopping at the mall in Omaha I saw this lady and it was a former neighbor of ours she had moved to Omaha 4 years ago............she is working at Dillards so we visited for a few minutes..............

I too am thinking about a coat. Mine is so loose this year and it is so cold right now. I may try to hold out till next yr but maybe I'll look for an inexpensive one for this winter. We had alot of ice/sleet today....semi's overturned, cars in ditches...usually happens with the first bad weather and people in a hurry. Well, I guess that means I won't be mowing my lawn tomorrow for one last time....supposed to have more snow overnight. Time to bring out the shovels and salt again.
Stay warm!!

Thanks for the update Barb. Hope the adjustment helps.

Do you have thrift stores around....always good places to go when we are changing sizes so quickly.

Hi Barb,

Thanks for the update, hoping that you don't have any problems with this fill. . .  I can relate to the coat thing, I did manage to buy one at 75% off early on, however, it is suede with fake fur inside, so I need one that I can wear in all weather and I don't want to spend too much either since I'm still losing and not at my final size, I am going to check out the thrift stores this weekend and hope to find something for less than $30, it was nice giving all my old ones to someone who could use them and I saved a couple for the winter coat drive.

Take care, Laureen

GOOOOO HUSKERS !!!
Hope this fill works for you Barb and you are feeling better.
I never ever had more than 1 or 2 coats at a time, I have a closet full now. The one I like the most I got at Goodwill for 75 cents, $6.50 to dry clean it.
