It's Wednesday. What's New????

Good Morning Sisters and Brothers in OFF land!
Not much new (as always) in my land.  Last night I got home and tried to make another Chai tea powder concoction that turned out better then what I did last week, but still not perfected.  I'll probably spend a fortune trying to come up with a good tasting recipe for a cheaper chai powder.

Then I made some granola, I use my mothers recipe and it is so good in my daily yogurt.  I hadn't had any for a while and wanted to get that done.  While that was slowly baking I decided to make some muffins!  so got the dry ingredients together and then shredded the zuchinni, applese and carrots.  They taste great too!

I will be 3 years out in December and find myself sliding back into old habits to some point.  At least eating wrong things more often.  I don't seem to have the "will" to stick to the plan as much anymore.  why is this do you suppose?

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!  guess I should get busy at the job I am so handsomely for!

Good morning all,  Well it is back to work for me today.  A gal in our office quit without notice last week so there is lots and lots of work to do!  Bad thing is, we just changed to new software and I have not really been trained on the new programs yet......nothing like a little stress in life!!!

Floyd, thanks for serving our country for 20 years......my 26 year old son is in the Navy, just finishing up his third year!

Well, can't think of much else.........have no pets, and really lead a pretty boring life!

Have a wonderfully blessed day everyone!...........V

Good morning all,

It's a tenuous day here at work for me today.  The BIG lay-off announcements are today.  Yesterday, I thought I was in the clear as my boss (a Sr Vice Pres) asked me to set up meetings for he and 2 of his direct reports (to tell them about their lay-offs).  I assumed since I was not one of those that had been asked to meet with him, that I was safe.  Maybe not so... I came in this morning to find a meeting request to my boss from his boss.  He thinks he may be getting cut.  When all this started happening a couple months ago (the rumors) he felt it was not a good time to be a SVP - the company was looking to flatten out the reporting structure.  So.... if it's not a good time to be a SVP... then I would think it's also not a good time to be the assistant to a SVP.

I just wi**** was tomorrow already.  The waiting and not knowing is KILLING my stomach!

Have a good day, all......
Vicky

Good morning Candy and all....
I have a few minutes to check in before I run to Bally for my final work-out before my TBL (total body lift) on Friday.

I am getting a bit anxious....I won't lie.  I am excited too for this part of the journey, but anesthesia for 9 hours sort of scares me a bit.  I am putting my faith and fate into the hands of my surgeon.

It is still difficult to wrap my brain around the fact that I am doing this.  But the health concerns outweigh the financial burden this is having.  So I will have a toned body, and no $$$ to clothe it (lol)!

Yesterday, I had a monkey wrench thrown into all of this....my gyn. called me about the results of a sonogram I had a few weeks ago.  I need to have an endometrial biopsy.  There is a bulge in the lining of my uterus.  I went in to have this done and after consulting with her, she decided to hold off for 4-6 weeks because of the possibility of infection in that region (having a big part of the TBL there and risk of infection is concerning).   I pray it all works out.

Okay...gotta run ....or drive to the gym!
If you have a moment on Friday...I am accepting all prayers  to get me through my TBL surgery.
Thank you in advance and have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Hugs, Lora

PS- On a good note.....Today is my baby's birthday.....14...holy moly...where does the time go?????

Hope all goes all right with your endometrial biopsy. Those are tricky ... make sure your gyne gives you some drugs because those can hurt more than a pap smear if you're not properly prepared (you don't need to be fully out for it but there is a good drug that can relax your uterus ... I had to have one of these last year and my gyne gave me something before the procedure that relaxed me enough that I hardly felt her in there ... but I was able to drive home afterward by myself. If I think of it, I'll let you know.)

Hope all will be well.

Good Morning Everyone:
Today I plan to pack my bag for surgery on the 19th.  I like to do things ahead of time...unlike my husband that waits til the last minute to do anything.  Last evening I went to the Super Market and bought some jars of baby food to have on hand when I don't feel like puree-ing food, especially Thanksgiving day.  I was delighted to find a jar of turkey and sweet potatoes!  Wow !  Now a tsp or two of that plus a tsp or so of mashed potatoes I'll be eating like the "Grown Ups".  My DS and DIL and husband are going to cook the meal here at our house.  That should be interesting. The Bariatrics nurse called yesterday afternoon to check to see if I had my questions for admission to the hospital at midnight 11/18.
Golly, that means it's really going to happen!!
I am reading the book "Life after Gastric By Pass" that I ordered from Amazon.com  It is quite interesting and co-wirtten by a Disc Jockey from North Carolina who at 450 pounds had Open RNY.
Hope everyone has a good day and will check in again.

Hugs,
Sandy
