It's Wednesday. What's New????
Good Morning, All
I just got home from working my double, and am heading for bed. I have my 2-1/2 year post WLS appt tomorrow. It should be interesting. I'm having a little trouble staying on track, and wondering if my blood work (or the scale) will reflect that.
Post away, my friends. I'll catch you all later today.
Candy
Oh, LOUISE!!!!!!!! and my OFF Sistahs.
Glad to see you jumping right in and posting the What's New!!!
It's 4:15 a.m. I didn't take a Tylenol PM last night so, guess what? I'm up every two hours instead of three. I'm having my 2 week appt with the surgeon today (Wed) and see if some of these drains will come out. My output doubled on some of them for a couple of days. I think I overdid. I'm finding I'm putting the binder on tighter and it feels better. I took about an inch off the top of it and made it not so long...it seems to help.
We had 4" of rain in one night this week. Yard got a good soaking. Still in the 70's. Sorry.
Mike finished the chili and wants to know when you plan to overnight another batch. We're still farkeling. In fact, we went to breakfast at Bisquits yesterday and the service was slow we farkled and I got almost 20,000 pts.
This is so boring as there is absolutely no drama in my life right now.... so I'm babbling.
I do want to thank all for the wonderful cards of encouragement and the goodies. They are much appreciated and I'm humbled by having all of you in my life.
No $4 for me today. I'm staying in, sleeping in if I can get back to sleep, getting a good shower, doing a load of laundry and hoping that the dr. appointment goes well. I think I'm driving myself. Mary offered but we all know how reliable that is...:)
Everyone have a nice day.
Janet

It's a mindless dice game that women can play and talk at the same time. You can even play by yourself....or with however many people you want. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farkle
Now I say it's a game that women can play and talk at the same time....that's because, if you take the action of shaking dice you'll see that men can't talk and do that....:)
You can even buy Farkle pads. It's a lot like Bunco, Yahtzee, etc.
I've got people at Starbucks playing it now. Carry six dice, a pen, and a couple of score sheets in my purse or fannypack all the time.
Always try to be a lady, however. But sometimes you just have to farkle.

Good morning
After work I am visiting a new post-op from the group. She has waited a long time for surgery but was getting cold feet over the past few days. Pre-op jitters - ugh.
When I took over the support groups, I started taking notes and sending them to all the people via e-mail. For a long time I wondered if anybody bothered to read the notes or cared. Ha ha
Now I get messages the following morning, asking how soon the notes will go out. It feels good to know my efforts have been appreciated.
Today I need to buy new pants for Tom. He has been throwing away old, worn out pants, without a word to me. The man hasn't shopped for his own clothes in decades - they 'magically' appear in his closet and drawers. I think he would go naked if I didn't do his shopping.
Kisses

Good Morning Janet and all,
I'm scheduled to attend a class today and tomorrow so thought I'd drop a note before then. It should be interesting. The title is "Critical Thinking and Writing, Executive Briefing and Congressional Operations." Hope I can keep awake.
We were off work yesterday to celebrate Veteran's Day. Even after being retired for 14 years, this day makes me feel like I've done something special. Sunday we were recognized in church for our service. I can't believe that I spent 20 years in the Navy and I've been retired for so long. Time sure does fly by.
Yesterday CJ (our miniature Dalmatian) got two chocolate bars off the dining room table and devoured them while we were out shopping. We watched him very closely yesterday because we know chocolate can be deadly for dogs. It appears he's feeling better this morning, but he is still shaking pretty bad. I guess since he made it through the night, he'll be alright, but we were pretty worried.
My plans for tonight are to finish the directory. I had hoped to get it out last week, but life's events changed my plans. I will do my best to get it to Joyce to distribute within the next couple days. I apologize for not having it out sooner.
Have a great day, everyone.

Floyd,
No apology is necessary. You & Joyce work hard and we appreciate the list, no matter when it gets updated.
My dog Barney was a chocaholic and never knew chocolate was bad for dogs. One year he ate every morsel of Easter candy, wrappers and all. He also ate the sofa and the laundry room door. The dog seemed to be part goat, nothing fazed him. He lived to the age of 18 years.
Kisses

Morning Candy and all:
The EGD went well yesterday, however......the doc told me there was "still" food in my pouch (after 12 hrs)....I am worried this may be a problem.....the report was sent to Dr. Kemmeter, my bariatric surgeon, so we'll see if I hear from him. The doc did take four samples from the escophagus and stoma. The worst part of the procedure was the terrible tasting stuff they spray in your throat. Anyway, I took it easy all day, resting and napping off and on.
Work day today......hope there are some pd files waiting on my cart. Nothing this afternoon, except running out to Walgreens and complaining that they overcharged me on some tea light candles that were supposed to be on sale....Handbell practice at 6:30.....that's my day.
Thanks to all *****sponded about the movie.....the group leader did find it at half.com....so we'll get to see if afterall.
We are in for rain the rest of the week. DS told me he has the sides on his pole building and they were bringing the concrete yesterday for the floor....the lumber company was also to deliver the roof tresses...
or is it trusses? He'll need a helper to get those in place.
Janet, sounds like you are healing nicely....hope you get rid of some of those drains and have a good report at the dr. today.
Have a blessed day all,
Pat R.
