I would have never even noticed the clothes.  Gosh what an honor to meet Linda but she got a great gift, too. She met you.

Dearest Janet,I am so happy I did not let my head get in the way of meeting my tiny dancer....smile.
I have a beautiful angel she gave me to remember this day,and a card I will hang at my desk,to always remember who is with me,that I am never alone.

PS STARBUCKS sucks,but it was a nice place to meet. I am so happy this turtle poked her head out,and I will be putting the pants in the give away pile.

Hi Janet,    I'm afraid the choice of Starbucks had nothing to do with the coffee....  It was o.k.. but I actually prefer home brewed in my old fashioned perculator and Linda doesn't even drink coffee.   However, that being said, 'Bucks is a good place to meet 'cause they make you feel welcome & there's no rush to get you out the door.   BTW, My costco sells gift cards - 5 $20 card cost $80...  Everytime I see this I think of you.   Gotta keep the cost down so you can keep on goin' back!     Gengle HUGS!

Let it be known, I don't go for the coffee.  I have met the most phenomenal people at Starbucks.  In fact, this last Saturday when I went to the engagement party of one of our $4 guys, I was absolutely amazed at how they cleaned up.  I'm just glad I get to drink coffee with them....wow, what a group.... fun, funny, funnier, smart, smarter, smarty-pants...:)

I've never been to a $4 that has the feel of ours.  Saturday night during the 'toast'ing, it was stated that everyone in the room (50) had all met at Starbucks.  Now we are family and friends. 

I saw the gift cards at Costco, too.  Pretty good deal.

Wish I had stock.

WOW!!! Don't tell Starbucks... I think they're under the impression that their specialty coffes are what makes them popular.    It is kinda funny that you can develop such good friends at Bucks..... Wonder if the same thing could happen among people at a park or the beach?   Why not????   I truly believe that a stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet.  So far, that hasn't gotten me in trouble, but who knows????     Till then, keep on keepin' on!   I don't think I'd buy stock in Bucks right now ---- I hear they're closing some locations & don't know how they can keep the momentum.    

Actually, since Howard Schulz came back in and took over I think it will do a lot better.  It's when he left that all the stores started popping up and the 'old' Starbucks started going away.  His vision was a place where people could gather and enjoy a good cup of coffee and make friends.  Our $4 is unique, I think.  Oh heck, I know it is.   We even proved that!!

I do like their coffee and I drink one cup a day there, $1.63.  I like their Casi Cielo but it's seasonal.

I discovered Caribu Coffee Company when a broker sent us a pound of their coffee.  It's out of Minneapolis.  I found them in Pittsburgh last April and bought a pound.  Their Obsidian is out of this world.  I'd have a major problem if they came into this area with a place to go....:)

Going for my 2 week follow-up today (Wed), and hoping they take a few of these drains out.  Life will be a little easier when they are gone.  I didn't take pictures.  Not sure why people do.  I'll get one or two after the drains are gone for posterity, I guess.   I'm sure my grandchildren will appreciate showing pictures of their grandmother to their children in later years..... "and here's Grammy after her tummy tuck and butt lift in a red lace thong".....

We need some voice to voice time.

Linda's daughter is gorgeous and she must be so proud.
I have been reading Linda's posts for a short time now but her sweet personality is certainly conveyed in all her messages.
