Linda,

Happy surgiversary!

When I saw Mom yesterday, she was a lot more alert than when I saw her the other day.  Still messed up, and very frustrated by her inability to communicate, but better on the whole.  The nurse told me they've taken Mom off ALL her meds except her diuretic, which I think is a good idea.  Goodness only knows what all those meds were doing to her brain.

B: peanut butter chocolate protein shake
S1: iced skinny latte
S2: yogurt
L: sausage & bean casserole, mushroom salad
S: smoked turkey & muenster cheese rollup
D: crab alfredo (no pasta), broccoli w/ pine nuts & Parmesan
S: SF pudding

I'm soooo happy to hear your Mother is better off the meds.  Hopefully, she will perk up more and become more alert ( at least as much as possible).    Take heart that we are here for you and thinking of you....  Millie

Linda,
Hearing your voice gave ME comfort. Feel better my sister from another mother.

MY daughter decided we would eat Mexican instead of pizza. Not my favorite food but the company was excellent.

Matthew, Melanie and I had a coffee party. They have one of those one cup at a time machines. I make my cup, then put plain  ho****er through it for their cup, add some milk and voila - we have a party. Melanie does ask to have BROWN coffee like grandma's, NOT WHITE coffee. Smart little girl, can't fool her much longer.

Kisses

Hello sis, your voice soothed me too. I am glad you and the grands had fun.I believe they are the lights in both our lives. I am trying to keep my voice,so I can work...I believe I will be ok.
God bless you and keep you. People do not know that WLS over 50 is different,I am not sure why,but I know that it is.
Much love..

Let's see - Monday.  Going to the PO with my DIL to help her carry boxes in.  She has today and tomorrow off because of Veteran's Day.

Breakfast - my EAS protein drink - hot.  Lunch - leftovers from yesterdays lunch (well the meat loaf and a tad of potatoes).  I sent the left over pie and bread home with my son's family, much to my DH's chagrin!  Dinner - cereal.  Not sure on snacks.

Lovely sunny day again today.

Good morning, sweet Linda. I hope that today brings you so much happiness.

This afternoon is being spent taking Bill's cousin to the eye doctor. I have to leave before Bill does to go to work. I hate doing that. I have this thing that I just like to be home when he leaves for work for some reason. Not sure why but it is just is. We will probably be going out for lunch after her appointment. So it will be something good for me and not bad! I am getting out of doing that~except for the piece of cake yesterday. Oh well~yesterday is gone and I do not have to do that again.

B: sf oatmeal with a banana
S: slim fast low carb shake
L: not sure but good for me
D: lean ground round with veggies
S: apple with peanut butter

Have a wonderful day and know that I am sending you love and lots of hugs to go with it. I am keeping you and yours in special prayers. Have a smile on your face today and keep in mind that it might be someones only source of happiness.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda,I hope you enjoy your day. Thank you for your well wishes. I have had to pray extra hard the last few days for peace of mind,to not let depression catch up with me.
God is a good God,and I will be fine.
Hugs and Prayers.
