Happy happy monday ...i love Mondays like we get a new start once again lol sorry Margo.

it sure is cold here in southern Mo. got down to 30 last night, i dont think i am ready for winter yet but i guess it isnt up to me if it were we would have warm spring and cool summer all the time .

My 3 acreas of flowers (taking out some for paths , houses and veggie garden) have all been taken care of for the winter. and all my tropicals are back in the green house. next year i am going to have to make other arrangements for them they are getting way too big and all wont fit in there especially if i want to do seedlings starting in Feb...

anyway this week will be sort of busy with a couple of girls that im an angel too having surgery...some doctors appts one for pre op for my hubby he is having Anterior Cervical Discectomy with fusion.

we joined CMA a christian motorcycle association their main object is to minister to the motorcycle comunity all over ...very good group ...plus lots of good fellowship and prayer..

I have my second appointment with a hemotoligist to talk about why my white blood cells are staying low...he has taken so much blood that i cant imagine that he would want more but i have to go have a cbc run again before my appointment with him...i told him wont be long and i will be able to tell you what is wrong with me ,,,,i dont have any blood. lol lol

no snow here yet but is cold enough too. if you girls and guys that live in the north would keep it there i would greatly appreciate it ....love and hugs.

 

jan...funny thing is  that i think i am developing a better attitude about mondays and much of it is cuz of all y'all!!! who says an old dog can't learn a new trick?????

Good morning Nancy and all.....

We had snow here most of yesterday, but very light and not sticking on the ground.....it's in the high 20's this morning, going to around mid 30's for today.

Went to church Saturday evening, Pastor Mike was completely confused when he saw me....."hey, you're not supposed to be at this service"....anyway that left me all day Sunday to do whatever I wanted, which was cross stitch.  Finished the first towel, and started on the second one (which is done in all blue threads).  Last evening was book club and we discussed the book "The Year of Fog".....it was a good read,  but some didn't care for it.  December we don't meet as everyone is so busy with the holidays, so our next meeting will be Jan. 4th for a Christmas dinner meeting.....we are reading "The Book Thief".

Tomorrow morning I have to be at the hospital at 7:15 for an endoscopy....my PCP is doing it to check on the
Barrett's Escophagus problem that I have....DS will take me over and bring me home.  

Went to a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday at the local auditorium.....it was nice, but too many vendors and not enough craft booths.  I bought some cute cinnamon stick gift tags, and an apple cinnamon Home Interiors candle and a dozen home made cookies......yeah, they're all gone now and I am glad.....what was I thinking!!!  That was what made me fat in the first place......need head
adjustment big time! 

Ok time to fix my W/C oatmeal and get ready for work.

I have a busy day today with council meeting finishing off the evening, and I don't think it will be a "pretty" one!!!  A gal in our office quit claiming we were talking about her behind her back when she wasn't there.......very insecure woman, and one who used to be considered a friend of mine.....stressful!!

Tomorrow though, is a vacation day for us, so that is good!!!

morning nancy and my OFF family!!!

well its snowing here in willoughby ohio...have a lake effect snow warning out til 4 pm!!! at times you can't see very far with the snow coming down so hard!! the rain we had friday night took alot of the leaves down and now they are all covered with snow...what a mess!!!

well i worked last 3 days all day long and was to tired to get online to post...yesterday i was so ticked off at the one woman that opened the food court...she only bought 2 packs of hot dog buns and one box of pretzels for the whole day!!! i got in to work and saw she had a line of people waiting to be waited on and hardly any food...not even popcorn was ready!! i saw the popcorn spinning but no heat on to make it pop...asked if there was popcorn in it and she said yes...well ya need heat to make it!!! then she left and i was there trying to get people waitied on and food made...OMG!!! then i noticed that there was only 5 coffee cups left....called for someone to go get me more...well that never happened...grrrrr then i ran out of register tape!!! it was a bad day going from bad to worse...things finally slowed down about 5:30 and the time dragged til 8 pm...told rick i wanted a double drink when i got home...sighs...trust me this woman is gonna hear a few words when she comes in tonight to work!!!

still not online with my pc...hopefully tonight after work i am!!!!

saw diane over the weekend...said she has to go see a heart dr...something is wrong with her heart she said...i told her if her appointment was tuesday or thursday i could go with her...haven't heard back yet when she goes...she said she didn't tell the boys yet. well i am not going to mention it til we know whats what. so prayers are asked at this time for her that she will be ok. thankyou so much!!! will keep you posted when i find out anything.

talked to my mom this weekend...she asked me when we were coming back to see her...well....i need atleast 2 days off and also gas money to go...so not sure when we can go see her...i feel bad because she misses me so much!!! my sister doesn't do a dam thing to see that mom gets taken care of...she likes to do some fun things and my sister is so lazy its pittiful!!! so hopefully i can get some money somehow so i can go see mom for a couple days soon...atleast at christmas time anyhow!!! i figure it will take about 50 bucks round trip for gas alone...sighs....need a money angel i guess...

looking forward to thansgiving though...rick is cooking turkey dinner and i am putting the christmas tree up and getting it decorated. should be a great day for us both!! 2 weeks from today it will be 1 year since we met face to face...wow a year has passed already!!! seems like it was only a couple months ago we met!! the other night he told me again how much he loves me and so happy we met and hit it off...i feel the same way!! i don't even miss gary at all...strange huh?? you would think after 33 years of being with him i would have some moments of missing him but i don't...so glad that chapter of my life is over and done with!!! i am so much happier now than i ever thought possible!!!! life is good thats for sure!!

well better get going here i rattled on long enough and i am sure you are all bored to tears lol...hope you all have a good day!!

Good Morning all,

Trying to get going today.  We had the grands from Thursday until yesterday while our daughter was in Florida.  Earl & I were so tired last night didn't even watch the 10 pm news, went to bed, thought we'd sleep in this am but were both awake at 6am.  Since Jen is not working she did the school run this am so we didn't have too. Oh well did sit around in the Jammie's until 9am  drinking coffee and watching the morning news shows.  Now trying to get going. Earl headed outside to so some things but it's too cold for me so I'm working inside cleaning up after the weekend of little girls messes.  Lots of clutter!! If was fun but very tiring, they have so much energy. 

This morning I had a phone consultation with a lifestyle coach through my insurance company. She has some ideas to help me get back on track and start losing again. Different ideas from my regular nutritionist. I'm supposed to have blood work on Friday so she wants me to ask the doctor to check iron and B complex levels also, since I am so cold & tired.

We told our daughter we were taking this week off as vacation from all the work at her house. LOL!  Too bad we can't go somewhere warm.  Actually we finished the girls bedroom this weekend , they are all moved into their new room, everything turned out perfect.    Just a few things to finish in Jen's bedroom and maybe our life will get back to normal. The SIL picked up the rest of his stuff last week too.  He did stop by here Friday night after work to see the girls and we had a nice visit with him.  He seems to have adjusted to the fact that they are getting divorced and he needs to move on.

Hi Nancy and my OFF family:

It sure feels like winter here. There's a fine dusting of snow on some of the leaves on the ground ... not much, just a little bit. It's gray and gloomy out too.

I kept busy yesterday ... did a little ceramics, then propped up my leg for awhile, then made turkey rollups, then ceramics, then made protein balls (the fudge brownie protein powder makes them taste like peanut butter brownies ... although I discovered you have to add some moisture, like water or milk, to them ... still, they're good), then read, watched football, napped ... wanted to make some apple muffins but didn't get to that. Maybe today ... maybe not. The longer my leg is down, the worse it gets.  Bears lost, so did Green Bay, but the Vikings won, so there's still a tie. Next week is a big game, but I'm sure I won't get to see it here because we'll get to see the crappy Lions.

Pat, I was going to tell you to check on eBay for "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" tape but it's real expensive there, too. Did you check at the library for the videotape? Sometimes they have it there or can get it.

Talked with my brother Ed and sister-in-law Margaret ... their building project at her mother's home is going slowly ... her mother's part of the house should be done soon and she'll be able to move back in, but Ed and Margaret won't be able to get in there until next year. Margaret, however, is only semi-retired now ... she got a job at her mother's church and is writing the church newsletter. So I can't ask her to be my caretaker for the few days after I get out of the hospital after my knee surgery. Off to Plan C! Ed was supposed to go to Brazil on business (he's a chemical engineer for Underwriters Laboratories and travels a lot for business) but couldn't a visa for some unknown reason ... I guess Brazil is very picky, but Ed didn't really want to go anyway ... Brazil is very dangerous to Americans. He likes going to Germany though. He's been all over the world for his job.

Not much else going on around here. I have a long week ahead ... I have to work Saturday to get extra money for overtime. Love the OT pay, hate the extra day, but oh well, you do what you have to do. I have to work two straight Saturday (next week too because I'm off Monday ... I think this is because of the pregnant coworker).

Have a good day. No day off for me for Veterans Day ... it's not one of the big holidays. A former coworker of mine who was actually a Veteran (he spent his time at Fort Dix) would complain that kids got the day off but he didn't and no one ever said, "Thank you, Ken, for keeping Fort Dix safe." So one year, we brought in a cake with little American flags and a big "Thank You" on it with a card. He got a big kick out of that.
