Vintage Jeans

Over the years, I had hung onto a bunch of clothes that I bought during the one time in my life that I was thin - briefly. About five years ago, I finally gave up and got rid of all except for one pair of jeans that I bought new in 1978. I always hoped that one day I would be able to wear them again. Since my surgery, I have tried them on about once a month, and up until about six months ago I couldn't get them past my knees. Imagine my joy the day I could actually pull them up. For the last couple of months, I have been able to wear them, but they were pretty snug. You know the type - high waist and absolutely no room for pudge in the belly. Now they fit with room to spare! Tomorrow is a conference day at work - no kids. I think that I might just wear them. Oh the joy of being thin!

Congrats!!!! I'm so looking forward to that day...I hung onto a pair of jeans from my past "just in case" I got thin again. Dec. 10th cannot come soon enough for me..

WOW! How cool! I kept a pair of jeans (cut offs) that I wore when I was 15. Not into them YET but getting closer! Isn't it FUN? btw ... these cut offs are almost 40 years old!!!!!!!!!
