Gallbladder Meds?

I was prescribed Urso to prevent gallbladder problems, but I noticed that one side effect of my gallbladder medication is possible hair loss.  I am very concerned about this since I know that surgery itself can cause hair loss.  I was wondering how long did you have to stay on the gallbladder meds, and did it really prevent gallbladder problems?  My surgeon wants me to take it for six months.  I noticed that my hair line is starting to thin out.  I was also wondering if there is a gallbladder medication without the side effect of hair loss.  I will check with my surgeon on Monday.  In the meantime, any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!!

Hair usually falls out after surgery anyway, nothing you can do about that, to help minimize it I suggest upping your supplemented protein to 120 grams per day and 3000 mcg min of Biotin. Some lose lots, some lose less, but it does come back.

Hair loss is a side effect of any surgery.....but RNY inpacticular....
