New Non-Scale Victory

Next month I turn 60 and I am more than 1/2 way on my weight loss journey have new teeth and new glasses and life is very very good.

So my bank offered a free sitting for a free 10x 13 picture ~~ I figured why not!!
The last time I had a portrait type picture taken was ohhhhh lets say 25 or more years ago.
So I called and asked if I could have a picture taken with my dog they said YES.

No way would I have ever considered this 1 year ago!! No way, no day no how.
Not even that I went and bought makeup (haven't bought any in 15 years or so)

When I got there and they took the pictures I see just how far I have come put also how far I still need to go.

Then they fell in love with the dog and took a whole set of sittings of her.

So i thought well I will just give every one a picture with a frame for Christmas.

Shopping done!!! Except for the grandkids.

Great news.  I did it all at the same time too.  Had my RNY in Dec, got my dentures in March.  The hardest part for me is chewing steak now.  And it is because of the dentures, not the RNY.

I guess Mary and I will have pictures taken this year.  It will make her happy.  Me.  Eh.

how about adding some pictures to your profile and letting us see too.  congradulations on being half way there. keep up the good work...it is well worth it...

Congrats on making to your half way mark! Isn't it funny how something as little as makeup can make us feel sooooo good! I rarely where it now but I know once I loose weight I will probably wear it everyday!
