Joy,

How wonderful to hear that you are recovering in typical post-WLS style.  The left sided pain will subside, probably a gas pocket as they fill up our abdomen with it to do the surgery, the more you move about, the gas will find it's way out of your body, unless you are talking a surgical site pain, which happens also because of the instruments they use, either way, it will soon be a distant memory as you begin sharing your WOW moments with us.

Welcome to the Loser's Bench and wishing you a smooth recovery process, Laureen

Welcome home.... you are now on the road to thinner-land!

Like the beautiful Laureen stated... the pain is probably gas.... just rip a big ol fart and you'll feel better!
