My Dad (age 65) was recently turned down by a clinic in San Diego due to age and complicating factors (diabetes, triple-bypass three years ago, etc.) and others won't even look at patients over the age of 60.  Can anyone recommend a Dr. that will take on a older/higher risk patients?

Thanks you.

P.S. Insurance is not the issue, he has one of the best plans in the country.  It will cover most any type of Bariatric Surgery.  The problem is finding a a Dr. who is willing to risk his statistics.

Go to the California board on Obesity Help.com....there should be a list of Medicare/Medicaid surgeons or a link to find them.
