It's Thursday - What's new with you????
Good morning all,
George, I will remember to add your friend to my prayer list.
Dreary day here today... rain causes all the aches and pains to flare up. I did something to my lower back last night. I got up out of a chair and *ZING!* pain in the small of my back. I've had recurrent bouts of sciatica before, and this is not sciatica. I'm thinking it was from a move we were doing in water aerobics on Tues. We had to face the wall of the pool, holding the edge of the pool float our bodies up to the surface and butterfly kick your feet quickly for about 2 minutes. Well, they say fat floats.... but my feet aren't fat.... they kept sinking, and I had to keep brining them to the top exagerating the arch in my lower back. I think that's what did it. Time to call the chiro... it's been about 8 weeks since my last visit anyway.
Nothing else much exciting here today. I should be going to water aerobics again tonight, but that's yet to be decided.
Looking forward to attending a young friend's wedding (my "adopted" daughter at work) tomorrow evening.
Other than that... same ole same ole.
Hope your day is well!
Vicky
Sorry you have someone in need of our prayers but glad you can ask and we can give.......it's what friends do.......
Today I have an appointment with a special eye Dr who is going to remove a sty from my eyelid... it's been there over a year , has flared up twice with no results - it's hard to describe , it's like a little BB , on top and towards the inner corner of my left eyelid, above my sparse eyelashes.... I'm guessing it'll be an easy thing to do and it shouldn't be a big deal... crossing fingers I don't get a big red swollen eyelid for a day or 2 .... we're supposed to go to an event tonight at the museum and tomorrow night we're serving refreshments to about 250 people there for an artists and members reception. Just my luck to show up with a shiner ! hah !!!
It rained here last night but it's not horribly cold - yet. Today's high is supposed to be 60, with more rain expected through Saturday, and temps to stay in the mid to high 50's. I'll take those warmer temps - we haven't turned our furnace on yet and hoping to hold off as long as we can. We have an oil fired boiler and with the price of heating fuel what it is.........
I got a cortisone shot in my knee a week ago Tuesday but it has only been of minimum help. So now I go back to see the specialist on the 25Th ... to discuss what's next. Most likely he'll do another arthroscopic surgery on it - crossing of more fingers.
Well, I don't have much else in the way of news or even some different subjects to bring up.......so with that I'll conclude - have a great day wherever you are - or at least make the best day you can.

Hmmm, yes where is Eileen, I'd have thought she would have at least posted already, hope she is ok! George, I will say a prayer for your friend's needs to be taken care of, whatever they might be.
As for me, Thanks to all who posted to my post of yesterday and without going into all the details, afterwards I found an e-mail from Tony asking to speak with me, hoping I was open to talking, which I was and while the issue involved is not settled, at least we are communicating and that says something about his character to me, not that I really doubted his character, more about moving in a direction that we can both live with, so anyway, it will work out, one way or another and I will be ok, I may yet wind up sad and feeling lonely, but with the support and care I get here and from some other dear friends, I will be ok, no matter the outcome. God is good and has given me many earthly angels to help me know His/Her presence is with me always in all things.
So it's my Friday once again and I have a number of things to keep me busy this upcoming weekend, one of which involves the Walnut Street Theater, where a couple of g/f's and I are going to see Hairspray, so that should be fun.
Hoping that my foundation gets poured for the addition on the back of my house, if that happens, there is a good chance that the addition will be done by Christmas, which would be nice, since my youngest daughter, the nursing school student, will be coming up for a visit, not to mention my son, DIL and the kids are coming home on December 13, her and the kids for good, he has to return to Germany for 6 more weeks in the new year, it will just be nice to have the construction done. It's been a nervewracking proposition, getting the permits and having the inspector come out and because the woman in the permits office dropped the ball and didn't send the package out, earlier in the week my inspection on the hole dug in the backyard was rejected because we didn't have the plans posted, coming home and finding I couldn't get into my driveway because concrete block was in it, having to walk Dillinger because of the hole in the backyard, all that and then the Tony stuff, just added to my stress levels. On the plus side I've dropped another 3 lbs., so maybe there is some good to all this (lol). . .
Ok, I'd better get to work here and I hope you all have a great day and prayers and positive thoughts are going out for all for the strength to handle whatever you have going on in your lives today,
Hugs, Laureen

You don't need to buy a Victoria's Secret bra. I basically get Playtex 18-hour bras when they are on sale and only pay about $13 ... they hold up my girls just fine (and I have DD cup because of all the excess skin ... but then I always did have big boobs). I'll bet you could find something on sale at BJs and with your employees' discount you'd get a good deal. Victoria's Secret is overrated ... just too expensive.
