Remember the Donna Summer song, "I'm So Excited"? Well that's me today. I already did my informational session about two weeks ago and decided to make my appointment to get started with the rest of my life!!! So I begin the 6 months of meetings and dieting necessary for the surgery! This is a big step because I was gonna wait until after Christmas so that I could eat what I wanted. Changed my mind and glad of it!! By the way, how do I get different size and color font?

Congratulations on your decision.
You should see little icons at the top of the box in which you are typing your post.  Highlight the entire text you wish to change by holding down the left clicker on your mouse and dragging it across the text, then click on the icon to change it.  The text color is the icon with the capitol T and little boxes of color.

Jan,

What a wise woman to begin now, rather than later, because it's late enough and the time for change starts before the date with the Loser's Bench.  The sooner you start to change your relationship with food, the easier it will be post-WLS, so yay for you, you're giving yourself the best possible Christmas and New Year's gift of all!

In the box above where you type, are little boxes, one has a B, then an I and then comes the font color change box. . .

Hugs, Laureen

I feel like this is a good decision to startthe process now rather than wait until January. I know that my relationship with food is changing. What is and will be difficult for me is that I work in a facility that has a chef and prepares food for the staff and residents on a daily basis. And he isn't always health conscious. However today he fixed some salmon for the staff. Yum!! I will change . . . I am committed to changing my lifestyle and living life!! Yahoo!!

Congratulations Jan!  You are making the right decision and I know you will not regret it!  I went to my informational meeting in January of this year and did all the same steps including the 6 month weight loss program and my surgery was in September.  I'll never look back... I couldn't be happier with my choice.

HUGS!!!!!!!!!
