Linda...  It's  YOUR fault   well, it certainly isn't mine...  ( I have to blame someone )

I was sooo inspired by your gumbo meal that I made my own.  Turned out much better than I planned.  Of course I was too hungry by the time it was done and over ate.  I guess I don't have to eat lunch today cause I ate it last night along with dinner.....

Oh  OK  I will own up to it....  it is all my own doing..... sigh.

Today will be better.....

Hope your day is great and you are doing wonderfully....   Millie

No menu for today,  need to grocery shop.

Hi folks,

Jean, My prayers are with you during this difficult time.  My father passed a few years ago.  It is hard to stand by while loved ones deteriorate.

I'm at the three week stall.  Still trying to get into the exercise, vitamin, meds, food, water routine.  Started tracking food yesterday on Fit Day and was surprised that the numbers were higher than expected.

B Yoplait fat free yogurt/coffee
S banana/South Beach drink
L 2 oz salmon/asparagus
S apple
D chili

We have much work to do as a nation and much to look forward to.  Hugs, CV Linda

 Linda,

Getting our food portions, calories, nutrients and the other "Stuff" is like taking a chemistry class....  it is soooo frustrating trying to figure out the right portions and proportions.    Why can't we just cook like we use to...  oh yeah, that's what got us here in the first place.    I'm learning it is a lifestyle change that will take the rest of my life.

Share any hints and helps...  we all need them....   Millie

Hi Linda
I am neither Black nor American, but I wanted to let you know that I smiled along with you this morning when I found out that Barack Obama was elected president!!   It was a looooong time coming.
Oh Happy Day!

Yes Linda! We all seem to be smiling today. I think we are going to head in the right direction now. I pray for Obama since he has a lot on his plate come January 20th and the preparation time from now until then. I pray that he surrounds himself with wise people that will be of a great help to him.I am very happy with the vice president also and know that if needed he will be able to lead us also.

I know that it is late but better late than not at all. Like the last couple of days.

I am having such problems with the food again. I grazed all day yesterday and just couldn't stop myself. I could just kick me but it is over and done with. I am working on today. It is a bit better but still not perfect. I guess it is practice and not perfection. God doesn't expect perfection from an imperfect being. He made us imperfect and I just have to accept that. I am the only one that expects perfection from me.

B: went out~scrambled eggs and bacon with 1 piece of gyros meat which is my weakness
L: nothing still full from breakfast
D: fish and veggies
S: thinking not anything

I am sending love and hugs to you and special prayers are going up for you and yours. Keep a lovely smile on your beautiful face.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

 Brenda,

Be gentle with yourself.  The only way an infant learns to walk is to try, fall, get up and try again.  Okay so you are not an infant.... but....  a child learns to run the same way....  You are off and running...  stumbled a little... caught yourself and..... are getting your stride under control.    Okay so you don't run marathons but gosh, you ARE doing good...... perfect... no but good  YES....   Get back in your stride.....

Be nice to you....  you are in my thoughts and prayers....  Millie
