What's New Wednesday? We have a new president
Yep, we're a great country, aren't we? I'm sure hoping the changes we need to make are done and done right! And yes, I also agree that McCain's speech was touching and sincere. I was impressed for the first time. Too bad it was too late.
Thankfully I was sitting down yesterday when the e-mailed estimate for our labels came in. It's obvious this company, who has national clients like Hard Rock Cafe and Dave & Busters, doesn't want our little piddly 1150 label job. The estimate was....drum roll please......$1864.00!!!!!!I just couldn't believe it. Even the graphic artist was shocked. So, I found one of our suppliers who has a printing service for their customers and lo and behold, their estimate is only $760.00. Still high, but the first time things are run there are set up fees. It will take about a week for us to get them, but at least I know they're coming. Hopefully we can still get things on the shelves by Thanksgiving. God willing we might be able to recoup at least the printing charges.
Went to work for nothing yesterday, will do three clients today and two each on Friday and Saturday. Looks like an unplanned vacation. Too bad I won't have the money to go any where....so, you guys are stuck with me LOL

I too stayed up late after a long day at work to watch election coverage. I had difficulty sleeping with all the happiness I had inside. There was so much said about "race" last nite before and after the winner was announced. I guess I never looked at Obama in terms of race. I know that "race" is a very sensitive subject with many people and rightly so for those who have suffered for many years but I looked at Obama's choices, platform, demeanor, and leadership qualities. I just hope this a real beginning for this county to be more accepting and caring for ALL people, regardless of race,
religious beliefs, political affiliations. I have voted in many elections in my life and have lived through the results. Yes, we need to pray for our President no matter how we voted...it is a huge job for anyone. We need to pray for each other as well to become more accepting of each other. Hatred in this world is toxic. Since we are already working on cleaning up our environment, let's clean up or heal the hatred in this world. I know I'm preaching to the choir but had to get my feelings out in print today.
Have a great day Everyone.

Today we finished up the Driver's course (another 4 hours) so our insurance rates will hopefullly go down. We are changing insurance from STate farm to AARP.
I worked for a couple hours at the office and then came home and took my walk.
I made "Taco soup" for supper. Don't remember who gave the recipe but it is great! I ate two small bowls with crackers, probably too much. I will freeze some of it as it makes a big pot.
Will keep everyone in my prayers, for relationships, health etc.
Blessings,
Jeane
I also tried the LJS salmon meal and it was good. I had enough for two meals. Which is always great.
On the election, I hope the New president can keep up with all his promises. It's kind of funny how they make all these promises but there is no guarantee, that is all they are just promises. I could get up there and make the same statements.
And it doesn't matter what politcal party you are, they all say things just to get elected and somehow we forget what they say.
Well, enough about that. Just my opinion.
Hopefully, our country will start putting God first, then maybe things would turn around.
Have a good one!

It is indeed a historic day! and a glorious day! I was SO happy last night when I heard Ohio went to Obama that I shouted YES in the kitchen, scaring the dogs half to death! I didn't stay up and watch the speeches but intend to spend some time tonigh****ching them online.
I think the campaigns in the past 10 years or so have gotten SO negative and mud slinging that it is impossable to listen to. I think that should STOP and stop now. I also think a shorter campaign time frame would be a very good thing! like 6 weeks like Britain does it. These months and months (years really) are just a drain on everyone.
I see "Joe" the Plumber is going to create his own website. HA. Not a person I am proud to say is from Toledo area. I actually followed a car last week that had written on the back "I am Joe the Plumber!" Maybe he was, I don't know, it was in the are where he lives, but who cares?
I have the next few days off for a long weekend. Was going to go to Shipshiwana Indiana for a basket guild event, but can't find anyone to watch my dogs and don't really have the $$ so will stay home and catch up on things there.
You all have a great Wednesday!

Kyleigh was discharged from the hospital last night. She starts a day treatment program today. Ky is doing so much better. She sounded more like herself last night. She was so happy to get back home and see her sister and brother. They couldn't believe how much they missed each other. I am hoping to go down for a visit this weekend.
I best get back to work...I have a couple other posts to answer first. Prayers to those in need.
