leaving tomorrow
I leave tomorrow for my surgery. I live several away from the hospital and have to be there @6:30 am on Thursday. I have been a bit emotional even to the point of thinking of writing my family letters just in case something goes wrong. I am sure this is the right choice for me but I am somewhat concerned. I haven't done as well on the liquid diet as I had hoped. I have only lost about six pounds in two weeks. It is discouraging. I guess its last minute jitters but it is not going to stop me.I just ask you to remember me in your prayers. I am sure I will be back in a few days and be very happy. I just need to whine a bit. Thanks for listening.
awww it's ok, the liquid diet is mostly to help shrink some of your innards like your liver that can get in the way of surgery. If you lose pounds while doing it that's a bonus, so what ever you lost now can be a head start for you......

Huggs for you..... jitters are normal. It actually helps our body. I was told that it helps our defense system and helps us prepare for the surgery.
Don't get discouraged, it's not uncommon for people not to lose a lot of weight while on the liquid diet. You will be fine... weight loss is so individual.... every body loses at different rates.
You a in my prayers.. Millie

I wish you a safe and easy transistion to the Loser's Bench, may your recovery go without a hitch! Just follow the instructions you are given by your surgeon post-operatively and you should do well. Being nervous at this stage is sooo very normal, but we'll all be praying and awaiting your return!
Hugs, prayers and positive healing thoughts, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
