I am absolutely asking permission to be on your board?

 I am surprised and happy. I finally got my OHIP approval in the mail today. I am so excited, and can't wait to receive a date. I know I must relax and be patient. My journey started last April when I went for te sleep apnea test, since them I have had Lot's more, endoscope, colonostopy, ecg, pulmonary, blood work. and many more, probably because I will be 66 years old next week.

I love reading this board and have been reading and learning so much. You are all so supportive of each other. I hope I will have your support too when I need it.

I am a Canadian who has received OHIP permission to have l RNY in Traverser City Michigan.
It is because we have long list's. Traverse City is about 3 hours from my home.

We shop, golf, eat out, and do much socializing in our sister city Sault Ste. Marie Mi
I would like to belong to this group because I like to hear about the grandchildren etc.

Now if I can just calm down and watch U.S election results I will be happy.
I hope you will welcome me.

Of course you can join us ... you don't need our permission ... we like Canadians too!

I have been to Sault Ste. Marie, both in Michigan and Canada ... loved taking the train ride through the canyon in the fall in the first year after my surgery ... just gorgeous! I had such a good time. It's beautiful country there.

Well hello Lola.....Welcome Aboard the OFF.  I am fairly new to this forum myself.  I am having Lap RNY November 19th in Bismarck, ND and that is about 3 1/2 miles from our home here in Williston.  I will be 66 years old Nov. 15th.....What day is your Birthday?  This is a great place and everyone is so caring and helpful.  Will be waiting to hear more from you.

It's a seemingly endless process of jumping through hoop after hoop.... but we all had to do it and it does eventually end in a surgery that'll give you a wonderful tool to change your life with!
