Does anyone know anything about shots of protein drinks? Someone today was talking about it at work...she had read about it on the internet...how it had helped some bariatric patients.

Protein shots are available at GNC, Walmart and other places that sell protein, including online.  They are different amounts of protein in about 2-3 oz.  Different flavors, I have to say that of the ones I have used I prefer the fruit punch flavor, but some folks prefer the other it is just a matter of taste.  It will certainly help keep your protein level up where it should be if you are having trouble getting it all in.  I try to keep a couple on hand for days that I don't eat enough protein.  Hope this helps, good luck.

make sure you get the pre-digested whey ones...not the soy.

I have one in my fridge I haven't tried yet.  Now that you say make sure it's "pre-digested".... ugh I don't know if I'll be able to drink it.  Who pre-digested it, that's what I want to know?

means it is broken down so tiny that you don't have to digest it, it goes right to your blood system.

I kinda figured it was something like that.  Pre-digested just sounds gross.  haha

I get mine at GNC.  The ones with 42 g per 3 oz.  I pour half in a bottle of water and drink it during my workout, and after.  I prefer orange.  But once it is mixed in water, you can hardly taste any flavor.
