IT'S MONDAY - What's new with you????
Good Morning George & OFF Family,
Today finds me at work and when I went to put my food that I bring for the work week in the refrigerator, I found that all the food items I leave at work, gone! Seems they cleaned out the refrigerator on Friday and threw everything away, regardless of the fact that it had labels on it, which in the past meant they were safe. I was not a happy camper,
as they threw away my 100 calorie english muffins, my low-fat cream cheese spread, my fat-free half an half and a few other things, that I keep on hand for my dietary needs. Oh well. . .
Anyway, I had a nice weekend, my construction project finally started on Saturday, so now I have a whole where the foundation to my addition will be, hoping to have the foundation done and inspected by next week, then I went to the 1st Saturday Barix Support Group Meeting, we had a good turnout and it seemed that most of the attendees enjoyed it. I was one of the support group leaders, along with another woman who is 2-1/2 years post-op, our group was the 9 to 18 month post-ops and the feedback was good. Afterwards I went home, had dinner with Tony and then we went to see a "bad cops" movie, it was kind of draggy in places and not really my kind of movie, so I told Tony, I get to pick the next one. Yesterday I make a pot of sauce (gravy as they refer to it in these parts), watched football, my team the NY Jets won (it was a good game, right George, had a few bad moments, but definitely a game they needed to win), had dinner with Tony and then just sort of relaxed, though because of the clocks being turned back, I was ready for bed before 9 o'clock last night and I went to sleep early.
This morning I woke up and so here I am. . .hoping you all have a great day!
Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Hi George and my OFF family:
It's gorgeous here today and nearly 70. Wow, it feels like spring and not November. I know it won't last, but I'm enjoying it.
Went to my appointment with my psychologist; we spent a lot of the time talking about y'all ... she wants to join our group. She thinks you're great (and so do I!) You're better than most of my family ... I love y'all.
Then I went to the mall to see if I could get the watch guy to change my watch to the right time. They did in the spring, but the guy who was there this time couldn't figure it out. He must be new. He kept changing the alarm ... he couldn't get it to stop on the time or the date either, just like me. So I guess I'm just going to have to subtract an hour all winter until we spring forward. Aaarrgh!
The AT&T store was across from the watch kiosk ... I had been considering switching from Comcast to the Uverse, so I walked over to check it out (my condo association fees pay part of my cable). Well, we went through the whole process and then they wanted a credit card from me to complete the deal. I'm in Chapter 13 bankruptcy ... I can't have credit cards, nor do I want them anymore! So then I thought, I've been an AT&T customer for 10 years, I'll do it online ... well, they wanted a credit card too. I almost feel like ditching AT&T entirely and switching to another service just because of that. But they'll probably want a credit card too ... and I don't have those. It was so frustrating! I could have saved on my cable but I can't because I don't have a credit card ... they've been trying to get me to switch, but then they don't want me. Go figure! Don't they know how destructive credit cards are? And no, they wouldn't take the debit card ... I tried that ... they knew the difference. Really ticked me off.
Anyway, That was my fun morning. Need to have lunch. Furniture repair guy is coming over to finally fix my recliner for the second time. At least this won't cost me anything. Kitties haven't pooped outside the box for a few days ... cross your fingers that they continue to be good.
Oh and the Bears beat the Kitties yesterday ... so that was good. But Kyle Orton might be injured and we might be stuck with Rex Grossman again. Ugh.
Have a good day.

Janet and I got back from Starbucks a little while ago. While we were out she wanted to stop at Target for a minute, so we did. I think it was a bit much for her, and she's now in bed sleeping the sleep of the dead. She finds it difficult to pace herself, and of course has to push the envelope a bit. She's a smart lady, though, and learns quickly. Probably won't be that ambitious again for at least a few days.
It's been a good few days for both of us. I feel like I'm on vacation...not much to do, and warm weather, and a good friend to visit with. It's surprising how well we get along, as I'm used to being alone most of the time, and she's definitely a "people person". She's progressing incredibly well. Probably all those thoughts and prayers from the OH boards.
I think it might be time for a little nap for the caregiver. I'll catch you all later.
