IT'S MONDAY - What's new with you????
So you talked about the pancakes, where's the recipe, do share ;)

In a blender place the following:
1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese
1 pkg. (dry) weight control instant oatmeal (any flavor)
2 eggs or 1/2 cup egg beaters
Blend until smooth. Cook on a lightly sprayed griddle.
This made 3 nice pancakes about 5-6 inch diameter.
I will add frozen blueberries the next time I make them.
Nutrition info:
32 gm. protein
15.5 gm fat (only 5.5 gm fat if using egg beaters)
400 cal. (only 350 calories w/egg beaters)
s/f syrup adds 35 calories for 1/4 cup.
I ate all three and was pretty full, so maybe 1 1/2 could be better....understand they do freeze well.
Sorry I can't give credit to whomever posted this recipe....I don't remember who it was.

Yesterday went well with a couple minor detours. Nothing great and to be honest I can't even remember them so they had no impact on the rest of my life. That is the way I figure things. I ask myself how important is this and when I am on my death bed am I going to remember this? Is it going to affect me on my death bed? You would be surprised at how little affects you when you put it in that perspective.
I have a few errands to run this morning and then this afternoon there is the dreaded pcp appointment. I really can't stand that woman. She has a couple of things that she is good at but on the whole being my pcp is NOT one of them. I need to be more proactive and find another one for me.
It is sunny and it is suppose to be fairly warm today. It is like the Indian Summer that we didn't have. So I don't care when it comes~I am taking the warm weather and going with it. I just love it when the sun shines so brightly. It puts a different perspective on life. Or at least it does for me.
I guess I had better get going. The shower is calling me and telling me to get my bee hind in gear and start the day. I better listen so I am done with errand running by the time I have to go see the doctor.
I am sending love and hugs to everyone. Prayers are being said for all and special ones are being sent up for those in need of them. Have a blessed day and remember to keep big smiles on your faces.
I forgot to add this news. Last week I posted about how my gf's DIL and her DS was going to trial for the man who beat their son to death. Well, the jury found him guilty of murder and he is going to be sentenced on January 8th. He will get from 40-60 years which is the time for murder in the state of IN. I am so glad that happened. Christopher died a horrid death and he was just 15 years old. The man who did it was 4 years older and outweighed Christopher by about 150 pounds. He said that he did it in self defense but after he went to the neighbors door and told them he killed him and not to call the police he went back and pounced on him and left footprints on his clothes and his body. Then when the police came and dragged him off Christopher he got one more punch in before he got dragged off. He deserves every minute of 60 years. But that is my own personal opinion. Having worked with parents of murdered children during the course of the years with Compassionate Friends I know the devastation that is felt with the family of the victim. Thanks so much for your prayers for justice to be done.
Now I am outta here again!
Our weekend went way too fast as usual- like most every ones' does. We went to a Halloween party Friday night after the kiddies had been here and gone - we were very disappointed - we only had 12 show up. We didn't win anything but we had a good time. We figured out that the people who did win were "buddies" of those who made the final choices. Oh well .
We had early Thanksgiving too... I had 15 for dinner yesterday. I made a huge turkey with all the trimmings. I even had a separate table for the appetizers. I served a sugar free apple pie and a skinnied down version of Libby's Pumpkin Cheesecake. It will be requested often I think !
John cleaned carpets yesterday morning while I finished up other tidying up projects. I cooked the turkey on Saturday and had it all sliced and just needed to reheat it while the green bean casserole baked. It sure made serving a big group a lot easier - especially since we have a galley style "1 butt" kitchen.
It's cold here this morning , threatening rain and I need to go get showered and put myself in "Museum Mode" - our monthly program is this afternoon and I need to get there early to set out the name badge trays and put the 16 new ones in them ( in alphabetical order) that I made up this morning .... I'm the "Friends of CCMA" membership chair and I have to update the lists and badges each month - before our monthly program. Then I have to sign the new members welcoming letters to be included with their letter from the museum . In some ways it's a big pain in the wazzoo but it's not too awful or I wouldn't do it.lol....
I'm looking forward to the election being over too , of course then we'll have a few weeks of rehashing it to endure. I plan on voting early when I go to crafts at the library in the morning .
See you all later.

been working so haven't posted last couple days...well erie tried to get my pc online again saturday and still no go!!!! guess we have to get a router and try that...soooo he is picking one up for me and then will be back this week sometime to try once again...sighs...just seems like i will never have MY pc up and running!!!
well got some good news to share!!!! i am now supervisor at the food court!!! wooohooo!!!!!!!!! a couple of the women are fighting over things being moved all the time and doing things wrong...both are part timmers and i am full time...well i was asked how i felt about the situation and i told her i was fed up with them both!!! she then told me that i had the full time slot and that i would put things where I wanted them and then she would make labels and that is where things will stay. i wasn't supposed to get this position until this one woman retired but with this fighting going on i am now the supervisor!!!! i am happy about it and waiting to hear if i get another raise to go with the one i just got!!! life is getting better for me....
went out to dinner friday night to pizza hut...thought we would have a good pizza but NO!! tasted crappy!! told the waitress and she got the manager to come talk to us about it...gave us 4 bucks off and made us another one to take home...final cost...10 bucks!!! (new pizza still tasted yucky!!) pizza hut changed how they make pizzas she said...i liked the old way better for sure!!!
saturday while at work they had a guy doing free blood pressures...so off i went to have mine done...116/68!!! he said i was really good there...told him i used to take blood pressure pills and haven't now for 2 years...he asked how that happened...i told him i had WLS and lost about 145 pounds. he said wow and congrats!!made my day!! ;)
noticed also over the last couple days that my bras are not fitting me in the cup area...omg i am shrinking there!!!! :( need to get new bras soon not looking very good there anymore with the cups being so big!!! just more money going out that we can't afford....sighs...
talked with phyllis last night and she was telling me that her husband might be laid off work again...not a good thing right now...also her dad isn't doing so well...dr gave him a few months to live....so prayers for him and phyllis would be greatly appreciated at this time.
also talked to my mom last night...she got the test results in and they found everything to be fine. so why is she having these feeling like throwing up, hot cold sweats and also feeling like passing out ordeals? dr said there are a couple other women that are a little bit younger than she is (87) and are having the same thing...do not know what is wrong or whats causing them to get like that...i told her to go to ER next time she is having that and maybe they can figure out what it is...dr told her NOT to drive when she felt like that. so for her to depend on my sister or brothers...she won't ask her sons for help and my sister...LMAO she is so flipping lazy she stinks!!!
diane was over here while i was at work saturday...asking rick for money for food...he offered her some chili and spaghetti that we had left over...she turned it down!!! he said well you can't be that hungry then if you turn down an offer of food we had here...and nope he didn't give her any money...sunday she was back asking him to go to the store with her...she hit him up for bird food...he should have known she was up to something...sighs...like we have extra money right now with him missing 2 days off his pay check this week!!!! GRRRRR
the weather here has warmed up some and had a little rain this morning and its just cloudy now. the trees outside my windows are just beautiful in full color!! kind of a red/orange.

hugs and love to you all!!!

Just a quick hello here. Samantha is here with me and needs some attention, then we are going to work on Papa's bday present. Making him a USMC fleece blanket for his recliner. She can help tie it.
Hope you all have a great day. Hugs, Paulette
Liz got let go from her job on Friday, budget cuts. So now here she is witha high risk pregnancy and no insurance. She does NOT need the stress. Now that I have whinned and complained.. Went with my Mom and Granddaughter to see the movie" the Secret Life of Bees" a 3 tissue movie. For Faith( granddaughter it was a 3 tissue box movie) Had lunch, took mom home and faith and I hit yard sales and thrift shops, fun fun. I bought Liz this darling piece of Stork line furniture for thebabys room. 5 drawers on the left and on the right a door that opens with a hanging bar where they can hang things. It has a raised ducky and a puppy in the door, very 1950's. The weather has been fantastic and we still has a few more days to enjoy it. Today is pick up meds, pay my rent and do some home projects. Have a blessed day. And Look OUT for trucks backing up !!!

the dresser sounds darling! i'll bet that you didn't see the one that is in the back bedroom here- it IS a 1950's style one -with a lambie on the door front!!!!it has the door on the right, a long drawer across the top and 4 drawers on the left side-the 4th being a double deep one....if you had seen it you might have tried to wheel it on the plane!!!!
i'm going out to plant tulip and daff bulbs in a few minutes- it is gorgeous here!!!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
