It's SUNDAY - What's new with you?

First of all, did you set your clock forward one hour?  If you did, you are really messed up, because you should have set it back.

Had a good evening out with Mary at my company Employee Appreciation Night.  Meal was catered by Eddie Dean's.  The turkey legs were huge.  Mary had one.  I chose chicken.  The piece of chicken was probably the width of two dollar bills and about 1 1/2 dollar bills long.  It was a big piece of chicken.  We bought a meal plate with us.  Put our food in it and put it out in the car. 

Then we went to see the show.  A magician who was not too bad.  Plus the Circus Soleil type stuff.  They were good.

Got home in time to watch the fourth quarter of the Texas Tech vs Texas game.  Great game, with a great finish.

Now, I have been at work for almost 5 hours and I have taken 3 calls.  I may have to volunteer to go home.  Save them some money and get me some sleep.

i used to work nights and couldnt stand it....
Every clock in my house is a different time. i guess ill look on my cell phone and see what the real time is.
Today not much going on. i am going into work at 11 to 5 today.
yesterday at work i had Carl come and be with me when i closed. the night before the wal-mart that is in our shopping center got robbed at gunpoint. sure scared me out of the water.
it seems like  live in a big crime area.
Well back to bed for a while.

Yawn......morning all....
This time change has me really messed up.....went to bed
at 8:30 (was 9:30) and was awake at 4:30 a.m......good grief.   It will take my body a week or two to get acclimated to this...it's funny tho' it doesn't seem to bother me in the spring when we move the clocks forward.

Anyway I'm up and showered, and checking e-mails.  Got another e-mail from the gal at the hospital....they are really on board with the support group....going to put three ads in the local papers, print flyers, and put announcements on the local radio stations, as well as
print up 500 business/invitation cards.   I'm overwhelmed with their generousity...but it's all good.

I guess I need to set a wt loss goal of 10 lbs by Dec. 1st and really get myself in gear.....I'm really struggling
to stay on the plan.   Last nite I grilled a small steak (first beef I've had in ages) and was amazed at how fast I became full....Couldn't even finish my small salad.
Maybe that's the secret....more dense protein and less soupy stuff like chili, etc.  Anyway, I need to do this NOW. 

Not much on the agenda today, Church at 8 a.m., will probably stay for Bible study, then home.   Have a turkey roast to put in the oven and bought some broccoli slaw to make up with lite dressing.   Must spend a lot of time cross stitching if I want to get all the towels done in time for Christmas.

no i decided i was going o rebel and not move my clock anymore....just be early for everything. lol it will be right  again next year lol...setting the time back and fofth con fuses me....dont know why we cant just leave them alone completly, lol i said that to a young person the other day and they looked at me like i was crazy, they said well you cant do that iit has to do with the time and all, we have to catch up and slow down to be in sync with the earths  rotation...lol wonder if that is what they are teaching them in school.  yep dumb them down....make them think that everything that goes on is for their benifit....when i told them what it really was done for , they looked at me like i was crazy and said well that doesnt help....EXACTLY!!!!!

i havent been on in a while to post , i read everyday to keep up but just been way to busy to post most days...

we are getting ready today to ride our bike in a Toys For Tots Run...and then next week we are doing another one, only bigger one in Springfield....usually about 3 to 5oo bikes in that one. I went yesterday and bought 2 new kids coats and a couple of video games , gone are the days of stuffed animals...no one but tiny ones want those and they always get so many of those donate d in the barrels...we so that is about where im at...

leading our support group that is growing by leaps and bounds...will be asking the library for a bigger room next  year...last month i had 43 there, counting spouses and other support people , to me it is very important to include these people in all of our discussions. getting ready for our groups big shopping job into Kansas City , we have 23 signed up for that , we have 3 , 8 passenger vans ready and can get another one if need be. we leave Springfield at 6am , arrive in KC by 9am , shop till we drop then return to Springfield by 9pm fun fun fun....

Morning Everyone,

Its been beautiful here in Michigan.  Yesterday I noticed something leaking out of our upright freezer, and when I opened it, everything was thawing out.  Thank goodness I noticed it was leaking and everything wasn't totally thawed yet, I saved alot that still was partially froze, anway,  off to buy a new freezer...Yeez its only 18 years old......Good thing there not too expensive.  Didn't really plan on shopping today but guess I will be.

My DIL had a false alarm on Friday evening, no baby yet, the hospital sent her back home but said any day.  Can't wait to be grandma for the 5th time.  We don't know if this will be a boy or girl yet so the anticipation is killing me.

I tried pizza for the first time Friday night, I just took a bite of the topping and spit it out, YICK I hated it.  Everyone else was eating away saying how good it was. 
I guess my taste buds changed, I usually would have eaten about 3 slices with about a gallon on pop with no problem.   Then yesterday my DH ordered some fried chicken tenderloins and I have not tried anything fried yet so anyway I tried one very small bite and the same thing, YICK.... This is such a nice change, at least for now.  I don't know if my taste buds will change back or not. 

Actually I think I could become a vegan,  I really don't like meat much anymore.  I just eat it to get in my protein.  But really prefer veggies and fruit...

debbie it's good that you are not enjoying pizza and fried stuff- early out like you are! i can eat the pizza now and the fried stuff-but i can really FEEL the grease on my tongue afterwards--the other nite i had a problem with a fish sandwich from BK --the grease just sat on my tummy--not good!!! soo---YAY for your wls!!!!!!

sorry about the freezer tho!

ok hubby set the clocks, so that just leaves me with my car clock to set and my wris****ch.

i think i can handle that, ha ha.

im off to a baby shower brunch this morning, so gonna have to get out of my cozy robe and put myself together.  sheesh i wish i could just hang out relaxed all day but i cant.

Not a single clock has been changed except the computer.

Yesterday I had to help Tom with the "Honey Do" list. The 4 drawers by the sink all sunk into each other, the domino effect. After 42 years of use and abuse, the runner attachments gave way with a plop, plop, plop. Off to Lowe's to find parts.

We found parts but I had to clean out the drawers so Tom could work on them. The cats thought that was fun. Perfect time to toss and condense. Tom was ready to toss and condense CATS with all their help.

As I sorted through the bottom drawer which is MY tool supply, Tom kept saying " That's where my tools are". Of course - that's because each time he leaves his tools around the house (after every task) I pick them up and put them in MY tool drawer.

That sounded like a *****y wife complaint - guess it kind of was one.

we only have 5 clocks including the car to set--and i wanted to wait otherwise i get confused too...

today is michael's 69th birthday...we will only celebrate at my granddaughter's 1st birthday party today--no gift exchange etc...i'm not sure if he is even speaking to me yet today anyhow...weird- i know i po'd him yesterday but i am surprised he seems still mad at me...ah well... his loss.....i apologized and cannot take back what i said sooooooo

in january 1994, i broke my ankle in 3 places; had screws and metal and wire put in - then taken out 8 months later- when the barometer gets real low i can feel it terribly-feels like i am falling apart from the inside out--last nite something started hurting badly and it still hurts--tuff to put pressure on it to even walk...should be an interesting day!

after dinner last nite; i gathered my (coffee stained) knitting project and sat to knit-after all Christmas will be here soon ! i could hardly keep my eyes open...i'd knit a few rows then nod off -finally went to bed about 930  DST...so i should be well rested today!!! i am not 100% sure but i think we heard Christmas carols playing at walmart yesterday--ouch!1 i love Christmas but it is wayyy too early to hear it in the stores!!!!!

well- some news that i haven't shared- roxie is getting a big brother!!!! and i mean bigggg -roxie is a terri poo-and her new brother is a great dane!!!!!!! due to scheduling issues; he isn't here yet but i expect in the next day or so he will be moved in--anxious to get him settled in and acclimated to his new home and us to him!!!!

does anyone else's computer do weird things like when you are trying to edit where you screwed up and suddenly you lose the words you are typing-example- i added something about apologizing to michael and lost the part about breaking my ankle--had to redo (copy/paste) the post to save it????or is it just me?????

friday i found out that i certainly did NOT get the FT deputy clerk's job...i knew that there was a TEACHER'S PET who would get it- what i didn't know was that there actually was someone else lined up for it- a gal who had floated for 5 years took it ( and well she should!!!) and so the PET that i was sure would have gotten it got the floater position plus --she took the float position for 20 hours plus keeps 15 hours of what she is doing now ( only she'll be afternoons so we won't see her)--she is very **** sure that she would have had the job if it were not for the previous floater taking it...so--didn't even get an interview but that is ok! knew i wasn't getting the job ===had to apply tho just in case!!! i want soooooooooooooooooo badly to be out of there and into a better [position--i keep praying and trying to be patient--and am grateful don't get me wrong for what i DO have....meantime- still trying to picture self in that other more perfect job!!!!

well- the birthday boy is up - i should go wish him a happy one and get some breakfast going....
