For some reason I got into the gingersnaps last night. (plus had 2 extra protein bars yesterday) The result is up one pound, so I have to get control today.  The gingersnaps were for a protein drink recipe that is delious, but this is something I can't get anymore like string cheese.  Bummer!

Breakfast.  1 pck instant oatmeal with 1/4 banana sliced and cinnamon.

S protein shake

L leftover chicken and shrimp, leftover mashed potatoes with turnips and leftover broccoli and cauliflower.

S protein shake

D 2oz pork chop, 1/4 cup sweet potato and 1/4 cp green beans

S protein shake

Hi Bornagain...smile. I have triggers foods that I do not keep in my home. It would be like petting a rattle snake, and wondering when, and if it will strike. 9 times out of 10,it will.
Making sure that what I put in my mouth has nutritional value helps.
I hope you enjoy your menu today, and that your drug of choice does not get in your way,of course, I know this, because I am the same as you...smile.
You will be fine, honesty is a great tool, against the disease of over eating, under eating is still mis-use of food, I have done both many many times.
...now I want sweet potatoes...LOL.
Hugs!

Thanks, Linda.  Just knowing that I am the only one who wrestles with these demons (the trigger food) helps me.

It has been a good but busy day and the food has not really been a problem.

Got in my walk with my daughter her fiance, and my two grandchildren.  My daughter was really surprised at how far I walk now and how often.  She also has an overeating problem, but is not ready to give up the food.  She has a Dr. appointment for a physical and pap test tomorrow which she has not had in years.  (She is an RN) and I am hoping that she will begin to take care of herself.

   I appreciate you!

Hiya Jeane, sounds like you had a great day. That is so wonderful. It is sooooo true that we are all in the same boat. It is such a blessing to have OH,to have all you guys here.
I do not mean to quote AA so much, but those steps have helped me  so very much to face my realities with food.
Another thing I remember from them, very loosely quoted is that it is our weakness that binds us together and makes us strong.
You ROCK!!

Hi Jean, you too have a great perception. The evening starts on a high note, ends on a very low one, and I am thinking it may not be good for me to continue them. She needs therapy, and to learn to love God and herself. She frets over not having the special man in her life, she wants to be held and loved, which is normal.
Olivia gets hurt easily, and gives her power over way too easily.
I wish she did not need men...honestly.
She has a date set up,has told the guy about her WLS,she is down to a size 10,and just shy of 6 feet.He seems smart, older with 2 daughters, and not the usual. It is just all too important to her the he likes her,and does not just see a picture, and do the male thing..the fantasy. I told her to take down all her picks, excpet for the one's with the kids, have one fancy one,and one with her hair tied up,looking like Saturday morning. I am so happy that I do like my life a lot, doing what I want and need to do,without having to consider a partner, except for Pookie (my doggie)!
I don't know,I have very little use for that kind of intimacy, but do have a few males that I have started to allow to call me,but I find them rather a bother.
The thing is,with the internet, young people go about is all back assward...LOL.
On the other hand,I believe in face first, accidental encounters, and the guys I talk to know me,LOL...they are bus drivers who take me to work on my special bus. They see me,my walker, and the person I am 5:30 in the morning, and I see them.
I pray for my daughter, a lot.
Take care..

Good morning to you lovely Linda. I am back and boy am I glad. I get so messed up when I venture to far from my OFF family and a couple of days is just to long!

I hope that your all nighter was a good one and not one that was to stressing. I guess it is better to have those all nighters on a night when you don't have to go to work.

I am working to get use to this blasted time change. I just can't stand them. I usually have no problem with the ones in the spring but with the ones in the fall I keep looking at the clock and saying in my head that the time is ____ but it isn't really, it is _______. I make myself nuts~or more nuts!

I am having some problems with food. I either don't want to eat or I just want to eat all the time. I have to really work on that. I am having enough of a problem with he weight loss slowing down so I for sure don't have to help it stay that way!

B: Slim Fast low carb shake and banana
L: chili with cheese
D: fish and veggies
S: not sure on that yet

I guess I had better get to goin'. I want to check my e-mails and get that done before bedtime. I was checking them last night at about that time. I do not want to repeat that one.

I am sending love and hugs and special prayers for you and yours. I hope that you have a nice and restful day and remember to keep a smile on that beautiful face of yours.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hiya Brenda, welcome back. I too find solace here,it centers me,and I was so happy to write here before I went to sleep.
The eating, when it gets weird for me,means there is something going on emotionally that I am re-acting poorly to,or not facing.
This place keeps you honest, and weighing does too.
I know that you know where to find the food for your soul.
God bless..
I would write more,but I have aches today...smile.
