wow moment

I needed to buy some new pj's for winter.  The bottoms from my 3x's from last winter won't stay up and the tops won't stay on my shoulders.  Went to JC Penneys and they had some really cute ones on sale in the regular sizes but none in the plus sizes. My itty bitty skinny mom (83 pounds) says try the extra large ones.  I said they won't fit  I still need at least 1 x or 2 x. She said try them anyway.....  shock of all shockers to me,  the regular extra large fit me!!!!  So I bought 2 pair!  I just might wear these all day all weekend long!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Paulette, Isn't it wonderful?!  I, too am having a hard time dealing with the new sizes that are not plus.  I'm wearing 16 tops and bottoms, but can not fathom getting into a 14! My mind won't wrap itself around that one.  Weird huh?

I agree... the mind plays tricks on us.  In the mirror I still think I look the same, yet the scale and clothes and tape measure all show the changes.  I think it is because my body proportions are still the same old pear shape.   But maybe eventually that will change too.

WLS sure has brought on some wonderful changes.... finding clothing that fits and fits well has sure been interesting.....

It's hard to even think of going into the regular section at the store.  I head to the plus sizes and then most things are too loose, especially on top.
