TGIF - It is FRIDAY - What's new with you????
Good Morning George And Family,
It's cold here too this morning but sunny. I'm planning to go work out in the yard awhile so I put on my long johns and turtleneck, will add a couple layers more then see if I can still bend and move ...lol. I'm going to dig up a new space for an iris bed that needs moving into a more sunny area. I have only about 60 to divide and plant.
Tonight we're looking forward to the kiddos coming to our house... we'll be in our costumes to greet them. We'll go to an adults gtg later around 9 or so when the kids are all done with their Halloween fun... We'll probably leave the decorations up till next weekend and take a short breather before we put out the Xmas stuff - that takes us an entire weekend to do then the next week or so fine tuning things.
Congratulations Annette - you've come a long way baby ! I have my 3 yr date coming up next week-- gives you a lot to reflect on for certain and puts so much in perspective - and to be grateful for.... just being able to live a normal life span...... is HUGE and so very much more.

Good Morning my fabulous OFF Family,
So busy lately that I haven't even had time to lurk. Work is crazy, for sure. As I may have told you, the new director has started and he brought his secretary with him. That basically pushed me out of my job. Luckily another position came up with a different director so I'm moving to a new job next Thursday. I met the new boss yesterday and I think it's going to be a good job, maybe even better than the one I have now. His office is in Columbus, Ohio, and he only comes here once a week, if that. I know, Debbie is probably wondering how I fall into these jobs where the boss is always gone. I'm lucky, I guess. So things seem to be falling in place for me again.
Still seeing the chiropractor 3 times a week. It seems to be helping some, but not fast enough. Some days I can hardly get out of the chair at night. During the day I'm fine. I guess because I'm up and down at work so much.
Well, lunch time. Hope everyone has a great Halloween. I'll have the directory out next week just in time for Christmas cards.

I'm sure you've heard me screaming with delight! My boss is retiring - tomorrow is the official date, but he's been on vacation most of Oct. I applied for and got a nice promotion with a really nice pay increase!!!

Congrats on the new job! Sounds perfect ... no boss hanging over your shoulder. I have one of those. It's great.
Be careful with the chiropractor ... my brother did that for a while and it actually made it worse and he had to go with the steroid shots because the chiropractor triggered something in his back (not on purpose, but it happens).

It is a crisp 48 degrees right now. Hopefully it will make it to the low 60s today. Yesterday was a surprise 73 degrees...I enjoyed the sunshine!!
I too am dressing up and going to a Halloween Party tonight. It should be a great time!! I have to go get some candy for the kids that will get here before I leave tonight. They are always so fun to watch!!
Today is my daughter Jamie's birthday (Nic's mom). Sounds like they have a fun day planned!! Wish they didn't live in Iowa I would be there!! Grace is almost two and is so excited to trick or treat. Nic is planning on going with her...he is just as excited to watch her as she is to go!!! Mom will be there with the camera/camcorder of course! Dad will be in charge of passing out treats at home.

This country gal doesn't get the treaters either. Getting comfier with the new diet at two weeks out today. Made some delicious mash potatos last night with onions sauteed in a little olive oil/chicken bullion/1%milk. Didn't know it could be so good without loads of butter.
I'm enjoying the novelty of rain today as I wade through the receivable posting and get the monthly ambulance statements printed. There is a dance tonight at the local watering hole with bluegrass music. Hope to save energy for some dance therapy and I need to re thread the drawstring in my Renaissance costume and find someone to lace me up. Not to tight on the recovering abdomen though.

Hi George and my OFF family:
It's bright and sunny here ... supposed to be a little warmer than it has been, but still feels cool to me. Turned on the electric fireplace in the house this morning when I got up. Had two cats snuggling in bed, so it must have been cold (usually it's just Scooter). Found another pile of cat poop on the cat tower ... so much for them being afraid of aluminum foil (a vet told me that once ... my old cats thought it was a toy; these cats just pushed it out of the way and pooped where they wanted to). I don't know what to do. I've taken two cats to the vet and they're not sick; Scooter sure doesn't act sick, and when I found the poop, he was sitting on the couch, so I don't think it's him. And I can't afford another vet visit. I guess I just keep cleaning up poop.
And my knee hurts this morning ... so what else is new? As scared as I am about having another surgery, I just want it to stop hurting.
A couple of weeks ago, I signed up for a free dating service, well, semi-free ... I only use the free aspects ... suddenly, I'm being inundated with messages and offers of meetings. I thought I had uploaded a photo (the one that's on my avatar) ... well, it seems I hadn't, so I did yesterday and now my inbox is flooded with messages. Wow, I didn't think I looked that good!
Well, it's after 1 p.m. I slept late today but it sure felt good. My DVR is now working right ... cable guy said Comcast uploaded some new software and it wiped out some memory of what was supposed to record ... well, it didn't tell us! Thanks a lot! I'm almost tempted to switch to AT&T, except that the condo association fees pay for part of my cable fees.
Anyway, have a good day ... congrats to Annette and Laureen for their surgiversaries.

I asked his opinion about my weight. He feels that I am perfect and not too thin. (
to all the people who have badgered me. daughters, husband, dietitian ) He said the two year mark is when people often start gaining weight so continue to be aware of my weight and keep doing what I have been doing.
Dr. M said he tracks/compares the labs so I can stop fretting over them. He takes a cautious, proactive approach. I trust him completely and will stop being such a nervous nellie. Still keep my eyes on things too.
