Good morning Linda,
We live in the country and don't get anybody knocking at the door. When the girls were in school, their friends all stopped by. Now kids don't go to strange house.
I bought 3 bags of candy "just in case" but they are locked in Tom's office. After tonight, the candy will go in his car and off to work with him.
I am not safe around chocolate. It haunts me still.
Kisses
Annette

Hi Linda and Annette:
I've tried two types of greek yogurt and find them very "sour" tasting.
This morning I added a heaping tbsp. of s/f strawberry jam and some Kashi and still had a time getting it down....it's so full of good protein and no fat. Do you add Splenda or sweetner to yours?????
I know about the chocolate.....it calls to me all the time. For years when we lived in our first home, we had between 300-400 trick or treaters every Halloween. When we moved to the duplex we quit buying candy, and because there are no sidewalks on our street there are very few kids.....I turn all the lights off and sit in the dark, or find someplace to go because I refuse to spend $$ on candy. One time I gave kids a nickel and they didn't like it very well....another time I passed out little boxes of raisins and they stuck their nose up at that too......spoiled little buggers!
I will be in trouble today, I already know it.....the breakroom is decorated to the nines and there is tons of food out already....help me!!

Good morning all! Happy Halloween! We live in a rather large subdivision. Up until about 8 - years ago, I would spend approx. $150.00 on candy. I'd fill several Xerox boxes with fun size candy bars to dole out, using my Halloween decorated bowls. I'd sit on the front porch from 5:30 - 8:30. Every year I tried to count trick or treaters, and would lose count around 150. They were bused in by school buses, 15 passenger church-type vans... Most kids (and many adults) were very polite. The second to last year I gave out candy, about 10 PM a group of 5 BIG scary men rang the bell, then knocked yelling "Trick or Treat", then began swearing and pounding on the door we know you're home. The lights were off! The next year, a bunch of little buggers went running through the neighborhood destroying my and my neighbor's decorations. They threw our pumpkins in the middle of the street, took my yard decorations and threw them in a neighbor's garden... I had enough and have not given out any candy since then. There are a couple of neighbor kids I make it a point to fix a special bag of treats for and hand it to them before dark.

Greetings Goblins,
This country gal doesn't get the treaters either. Getting comfier with the new diet at two weeks out today. Made some delisious mash potatos last night with onions sauted in a little olive oil/chicken boullion/1%milk. Didn't know it could be so good wihout loads of butter.
There is a dance tonight at the local watering hole with bluegrass music. Hope to save energy for some dance therapy and I need to rethread the drawstring in my Renaissance costume and find someone to lace me up. Not to tight on the recovering abdomen though.
B cottage cheese/applesauce
S protein nectar
L tomato/red pepper soup & soy Cruncheese crackers from Kays Naturals
s pudding
D mash potatos (has anyone tried unflavored protein powder in these? I wonder if it tastes good)
Toodles & Spookaloo, Linda
