I had my RNY on 11/12/2003. I started out at 309 lbs. I am still losing (slowly). The Dr. decided that my goal weight would be 125 lbs. (I'm 58). As of last Thursday, I weigh 134 lbs. - 175 lbs.!
I am only 9 lbs. from goal. Keep the "tool" working, and it CAN happen.

Congratulations and I know that you will make it.

I am just over a year out and the weight loss has slowed way down. I was losing about 10 pounds a month and now I struggle to lose 5 pounds but I am still working at it. Some months are not as good as others but I just keep going and know that in the end the weight will come off. I just have to keep working with the tool that was given to me. I know the old saying that slow growth is good growth and I am going with the new saying (that I thought of recently) and that is slow loss is good loss!

Again congratulations and you will be there to goal in no time at all!!

Thanks for the hope, though I am only a little over a year post-op, the weight loss has come to a trickle and I have 19.5 lbs to personal goal and probably more like 29.5 to the high end of the charts figure. . .  while I believe that if we keep using our tool properly it will eventually get us where we need to be, it has not been an easy task to get here. . .

Best wishes, Laureen
