Hi, It's Wednesday, What's New?

Annette, your story reminded me of my sister. When Carolyn and Rusty was taking their classes for adoption they were asked what kind of baby they wanted. My sister told them that she wanted a child who would stand up for their selves and be able to speak up for the things they wanted. Well, my DN does just that. She take s**t from no one and so when my sister complains to me about that I always come back with that is what she wanted in a child and she got just that so she can't complain. She gets mad each time~but then I just tell her that we all need to watch what we ask for since we sometimes get it and then sometimes it comes back to bite us in the bee hind! I just sit and laugh!! Sorry, but I just had to share that one with you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda,

Thanks for sharing that story.   We all have a few "bite marks".

Annette:

There was a mushy pile of poop on the side of the cat tower, on the rug, this morning. Don't know who's doing it, and now I wonder if it's Scooter. Damn! I can't afford another vet bill!

Larry the handyman stopped by this morning (or afternoon, actually ... I didn't get up until 11:30 and didn't get out into the living room until nearly noon) ... he's going to build me ramps into the litter boxes and steps to the bed for Nettie or whover doesn't want to get into the litter boxes. I hope that solves the problems.

Eileen,

It is hard to figure out if it is a physical problem or just plain kitty temper tantrum. Would it be possible to put one or two in the bathroom for the night to see if you can figure out who is making the mess?

That's a bad idea - that would cause all sorts of noises and tantrums. Mine would break through the door.

My next animal will be a stuffed one from the Hallmark Store.

Yeah, mine would cause a stink literally if I locked them in bathroom for the night too ... I wouldn't sleep and I have enough of a problem doing that. And my place is so small, locking one in the bathroom would mean locking in the half bath, which connects to the full bath, which is next to my bedroom, so I'd hear everything. And I'd never get to sleep. I think we're going to have to take Scooter to the vet next. But I really don't think it's him, because when I found the poop before, he was on the couch the whole time.

Despite all the problems, I still would get live animals. I love my kitties so much. Last night when I was in pain and having problems sleeping, Scooter was there purring for me. I know you feel the same, Annette, despite your protestations.

I'm NOT loving Annie much today. She got angry because I pushed her nose out of my breakfast. She decided to pee all over the clean clothes I set out to wear. The monster did it with vengeance and purpose too. No health problems, just being mean because I didn't share (for once).

Oh, she really is a furbrat ... or a furmonster! I have been lucky in that mine don't act out (or at least I don't think they are).  But then there's still poop on the rug ... grrr! I just hope no one's sick.

Handyman Larry was over today measuring the litter boxes and my bed for ramps and steps for Nettie so she doesn't have to jump so much.

   Carla,

My Mom always said "don't get even, get ahead". That's the reason I named Annie after her - Mom was a real ****** too. I'm so glad you don't pee on clothes but you go girl, get even!

Good Morning Eileen and all my OFF Family,

I am sitting in a hotel in Durham, NC wide awake.  Just don't sleep good anyplace but home.  I have an appointment with a urologist at Duke this morning. It seems that I am producing a nice crop of Kidney Stones. Yeah!! (not)  Oh well, hope the testing this morning will show some better results than last time.

I hope that everyone has a great day and that the Lord will bless and keep all of you in his hands.

Blessings and Hugs,
