What's New Tuesday!

Hi my OFF Family!

It's Tuesday morning ... just a little after 1 a.m. I got off early enough and came home to watch the World Series but it was raining and the game was suspended. So I watched what I had DVR'd for the past two weeks. I'm a little behind.

When I walked in the door, one cat was hissing at the other two ... it was Scooter. He kept hissing and finally went in my bedroom and wouldn't come out, even for treats for awhile. He finally came out for treats, but didn't eat much. Now I'm worried he's sick. Or maybe he's pissed because I took the two other cats out (and now they smell like they've been to the vet) and I left him behind. Now Scooter, I can't afford another vet visit ... and you don't want to go there! He came up on my lap finally and cuddled ... I think he felt neglected.

Stopped off at the pizza place on the way into work and paid the $10 I forgot to pay the driver on Saturday ... I felt so stupid but the guy there was very nice ... he said most people wouldn't be so honest. The driver had to make it up himself ... well, they don't make that much anyway. He probably thought I gyped him. I was just having Old-Timer's disease.

Oh well, can't think of anything else going on. Talk nicely amongst yourselves. See ya later.

Good Morning everybody! I'm here early enough today, just cause I couldn't sleep, got up and here I am.

I've got nothing really going on today. My old neighbor is coming over to have me cut her hair. Its always nice to find out what's going on there. She lives in the town where I grew up. You know the kind...where everyone knows your name...lol.  And everything else about you. I kind of miss living there, both of my sisters still live there, but its nice to not have to worry about what somebody is saying about you too. Its only like 23 miles from where I am now.

But after I have surgery, lose 1/2 of me....I might want everybody in town to see me...lol. I'm awful sometimes.

I'd better get back to bed, before the dog is asleep on my pillow again. Have a great day!

Nancy:

I lived in those kind of towns ... I worked at a newspaper in Anaconda, MT, for five years ... the city and county only had 10,000 people in them combined. When I left, I was having a moving sale, and the cops came by to say goodbye to me. That's a place where everybody knows your name (and I knew everybody's business ... literally!) But I loved it there ... if the newspaper hadn't been a dead-end job, I would have stayed.

GOOOOOD MORNINGGG!

I almost thought the Rays were going to roll over and play dead.  Then, at the last possible moment they came back and tied it.  Who knows when the game will be completed now.

Just checked my DVR list to see what I have left to watch.  Too much.  To start with, 7 episodes of Bones.  Since the season opener.  4 episodes of The Cleaner.  2 episodes of The Unit.  Then pretty much the shows from the last week.  Life on Mars is caught up.  Life  and CSI MIami are caught up.  Need to watch CSI NY, Law and Order SVU, and Iron Chef.  Iron Chef I check out the secret ingredient, then skip about 20 minutes.  Watch 10 minutes, then skip to the judging.

Supposed to be around 40 degrees when I get off work at 6AM.  Skinny George gets cold, something Fat George did not experience much.  But I will deal with it.

Yesterday morning, when I went to bed, Mary put the dachshund up on the bed with me.  I woke up 5 1/2 hours later and he was still laying there.  I knew he had not been off, because he can't get up on the bed by himself and Mary had left for work right after putting him up there.  So he was all comfortable.  The greyhound gets jealous and jumps up there, getting as close to me as possible, trying to keep the dachshund away.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I understand about getting cold, George. It got cold last night here for the first time ... I keep my thermostat here at 62 because I try to save on heating costs and turn on my electric fireplace ... but when I got up this morning I wondered if the furnace was working because it was cold in here. Fat Eileen would have been comfortable; Skinny Eileen is freezing. Time to put on the flannel sheets.

Last night, Diva climbed under the covers for awhile ... that's how cold it was.

However, George ... women in their 50s come with their own little furnace that kicks on when we least expect it. So even when it's below zero, sometimes we get a little kick of heat ... I'm sure Mary will tell you all about that.

Mary is 52 and is going through those joys.  Not unusual to see me under two comforters and her laying on top of the covers.

Thank you for getting us started Eileen. You were going to bed as I was getting up.

It has been a very long night. A little after 1 AM, I accidently put my foot on Joey  He bit and scratched the arch of my foot. Vicious SOB That briefly woke Tom who then talked in his sleep the rest of the night.

Tom grabbed Nicki's pillow in his sleep so Nicki pulled my hair. He likes one particular pillow.

Isabella sat in the bathroom and cried to be brushed. Tony went to the stairwell and yowled "Maaaa, Maaa", where it echoed. Yes, he talks.

Abigail (aka Bumper) decided she needed loving and banged her head against me. Jimmy got jealous and kept rubbing against my face with wet kisses.

Annie got her favotire yellow pompom and chased it up and down the hallway which caused Becky to SCREAM each time Annie got close.

Probably TMI, but I will never allow Tom to eat lentils again. Ohh the man had wicked gas. He slept right through it but I thought I would die.

Today will be the first time in a month to work with my lively client. She's going to be a real handful and I am so TIRED!!

Tom has gone to work, the cats are all sleeping, I hope I can get in a nap too. It's going to be a very long day.

Annette:

The furbrats were lively last night! Mine were comfortable once Scooter got over his hissy fit. Don't know what brought that on. My handyman is going to build me steps up to the bed for Nettie and ramps into the litter boxes. I hope that stops the pooping outside the boxes. Today, nothing so far! Yey!

Eileen,
I hope that solves the problem. Wouldn't it be nice to have them 'toilet trained'? No such luck here - they like to drink from the toilet and I let them have a go at it.

Diva has checked out the toilet a few times when the cleaning lady has left the lid up ... I think she would get the idea, she's pretty smart. Not sure about Scooter and Nettie, though. Diva likes to drink out of the tub after I take a shower.
