What we are eating and what's eating us.Sunday!
Top of the morning to you,it's a little after 5 here..smile. Well, doesn't sound like any one hugged a stranger yesterday..LOL. I need to clarify how I eat my Healthy Choice meals. They are good lean beef and great veggies, after you cook them, you are supposed to mix them with this sauce,or gravy. I skip that part and just add a little of my butter substitute. It cuts the calories AND the sodium.
I hope we all have a blessed happy Sunday. I will look at the past posts some time later today. After sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours, and trying to sell to people in our ever shrinking economy,it is all I can do to visit with my kids, and try to go to sleep by 8, as I get up at 3:30, and never have a totally restful sleep.
I consider myself very blessed for each day that I make it out the door!
B- Bacon and eggs (a rare treat). L-Cottage chesse and Peaches. D- Olivia is cooking baked pork chops with string beans and stir fried onions, I allow myself 2 table spoons of brown rice.
S- Nice crisp apple..
Take care, and be aware of strangers with candy!

Linda,
We had an interesting evening with our Bishop last night. Our hostess, who strongly objects to our church's gay and female bishops, made some remarks that I just couldn't let pass. So I made a little speech about it and concluded by saying that I didn't become an Episcopalian to have other people judge me every time I fart. Yes, I said fart in the front of the Bishop. There was a moment of silence after I stopped speaking, then the Bishop change the subject. Yeesh - can't take me anywhere.
B: 2 soft-boiled eggs
S: 20 oz iced skinny latte
L: lunch-to-go tuna & crackers
S: protein bar
D: 2 oz scallops, 2 oz green beans
S: 4 oz SF pudding

Oh my Jean!!
How explosive,it needed saying though.I am a Christian, but I do not subscribe to organized religion,do to the exclusion it makes of others.
I guess one would say I am spiritual. There is a quote I love:
"Religion is for people afraid of going to h3ll, spirituality is for people who have been there."
You, dear lady are a winner!

Hi Linda, I too am a Christian who chooses no labels.
I am very spiritual and live my life the way I feel would make God smile. I am often criticized for not attending an organized church regularly but the relationship I have with my God is the most important thing to me. I respect those that do have a religion they follow and a church they frequent.
Have a great day.

Hiya Alice, I respect any religion that is benevolent. I "visit" church sometimes, but haven't joined one in quite sometime. I too try to live as God would have me,to the best of my knowlege. My first rule is "do no harm".
Church's are a definitely a good community in general,I am just nondenominational,aIfter being baptised 3 times!! LOL.
I just can't believe one religion is right, and the rest are damned. Perhaps it is the act of faith that redeems us.
Way too large a concept for this little mind to get a handle on.
Great hearing from you.

When I went through my divorce 10 years ago my church friends couldn't handle the situation. No one was there for me. It is as if I contracted the plague. We were the couple that if anyone would make it, it would be us. Yeah right....
Long story short. I was away at school when hubby asked for the divorce.. in an email no less. None of my christian friends were available for me... except one who kept telling me how I should work harder on my marriage (?) My saving grace was a gay couple who took me under their wings. They taught me how to work through rejection by family, friends and others. I learned a lot about the gay community.. good and bad. If it had not been for them I don't know what would have happened to me. It is amazing how we stereo type people.... and it is sad too. Tis not what Christian beliefs teach...
Scooting soapbox back into the shadows.......
Millie
Oh Jeanne, that was a funny story. Good you didn't let that bigotry pass without comment.
Linda, your job must be very frustrating right now. Hang in there.
At just over a week out I seem to be packing away more food. Remember reading something about the new pouch still being in shock and not sending full messages yet. I seem to be eating about two 1/2 cup servings at each meal and having a 1/2 cup snack in between. I think I better start a food journal to keep track more closely so as not to screw the tool.
Here's my plan for today:
B packet of weight control oatmeal & coffee
S protein shake with banana
L cottage cheese/applesauce 4 oz
D pea soup/mashed potatos
S SF pudding 4 oz
What do you think? CV Linda

Hiya CV, everyone is different with their food and medical guidlines. I do not remember being full, but would experience a feeling of depletion when I wakened in the morning, like my body had no fuel.
I had a great NUT, and followed the eating plan that was given me, as I recall it was in ounces. Between eating, drinking, and vitamins (Tums too), it seemed as though I was putting something in my mouth every 2 hours.
Now,if you can not feel, what are you following for your food plan??
I hope you have a good plan given to you by your professionals,it was all I had to rely on, when I started my new life. My first meals were the size of a medicine cup.
It sounds as though you are not comfortable with your choices, I would contact my NUT or DOC.
I had to have those guidelines, as using my brain and choices helped me get to the point where I needed WLS.
I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Of course liquids do not stay with us long, and you seem to be on soft liquids.
In my personal, nonprofessional opinion, your plan looks good to me.
My mantra was"follow instructions", and "when in doubt leave it out".
I don't know if any of this helps, but I hope so.
Take care!
