IT'S SUNDAY!!!! What's new with you??
Ooops, now for those I missed. Sorry.
RaeAnn - Hod did the birthday party go?
Eileen - I think I missed you the first time because I was jealous subconsciously. I really miss a cool autumn morning with a wide assortment of colors. Hope you don't get caught in the cutbacks.
Debbie - We don't turn on the heat in our house until the temperature hits 30. To warm the bathroom we use the heat lamp. We set the temperature in the house at 68 in the winter.
Linda - Hope you have a nice cruise.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Good morning George, we didn't get the wine started yet. So far I have most of the stuff to do it. I spent a long time yesterday studying how to make it.
The girl that is loaning me the supplies said she left some things in N.C. & will send them to me. There is so much to learn. My goal is to make some wine out of our wild raspberries & blackberries.
George, we have paintball guns here at our house. We have 20 acres of pine, so the kids(adult kids) love to play in the woods. Needless to say we have colorful pine trees. They do have a lot of fun!
Today is a day of rest, I hope. Enjoy your day everyone!!

Good Morning all,
I finally got to get into the site. It took me a long time.
George paintball sounds like so much fun!!!! But I cant run that fast to dodge them!!!!!
Nancy, my grandmother used to make plum wine, Apple wine, Grape wine!!!!! It was so sweet and so good.
Good luck with the wine making!!!! I wish I was there to help you.
My dad also made wine. He used big garbage cans to ferment it.
For me just the usual. I am working today from 11 to 5.
I am still decluttering up my house. Should look great when the kids come for Thanksgiving.

Nancy:
Made the rollups yesterday and had a couple while I was making them ... they were yummy! Although next time I'm going to have Meijer give me thicker cuts of meat ... some of my turkey slices were so holey I couldn't use them for rollups. Also, the chives I bought at Meijer were a little wet and moldy ... I know you grow your own but don't know where I'd have the room to do that other than in my AeroGarden (if I ever would fix the pump). Carla said I could buy dry chives in the spice aisle. I'll have to look there. Would green onion tops work?
How do you make your protein balls? What are the ratios of protein mix to peanut butter to oatmeal? I'd like to make some of those too to have on hand when I get back from the hospital after surgery.

Eileen, next time I come to G.R. I will try to remember to bring some dried chives for you.
The protein ball recipe I use is
1 Cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate protein powder
1 cup old fashioned oats.
Put the peanut butter in the microwave until soft.
Add the rest & mix. I use a small icecream scoop.
Mine came out kinda dry so if you want use a little more peanut butter
or add some water. Some people don't like the oats. There are recipes
in the recipe forum or Eggface(Michelle) on the main board had tons of recipes in her blog. Good luck!

Hi everyone. I have been awake all night. I had a long nap yesterday and I shouldn't have. So about 3 a.m. I was baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I make them so that they are WLS friendly. I use splenda, I can't believe it's not butter and other good ingredients, I use vanilla protein powder in them too. So they are good for me and the family likes them too. I take them to work for people to try. They know they are good for you but they like them. My Sister says, I need to start WLS bakery. I love making them for everyone. That's gonna be my Christmas gifts this year, good old healthy cookies. That way they know I put love in my gift. My nieces call me Aunt T so that's what alot of my recipes are named Aunt T's whatever. I hope everyone are doing fine and have a great day.
I guess all these years of working night shift has my sleeping time all mixed up. I work 12 hr. shifts 7pm to 7am. I'm ready to retire but I'm not old enough yet. I may still retire early my job is so stressfull. I work for Pfizer. We make the capsules for other pharmaceutical companies. If you take a capsule, we probably made it. It is getting really trying because we have alot of young people coming in trying to make their mark and always changing things. It looks good on paper but not out in production. Well, that's enough of my whining. Hope everyone has a great day. Teresa M.

Good morning George and fellow OFF'ers.
Last night Bill and I had so much fun. We went out to dinner and had a nice time. Nothing fancy but a sweet little restaurant in Hobart. Just a nice family kind of place. It has good food and so I am glad that Bill remembered that place. The off to the movies we went and say Nights in Rodanth. OMG that was so good. Sad but good. It had a good story line and so much learning in it. It was just fantastic, albeit very sad but good. I am glad that we went to see it. It was in Merrillville, and it isn't in Portage anymore. I was looking and it isn't out very much anymore. Has it been that long since it came out? I just thought it was a fairly new movie. Oh well, older or not I am glad that I went.
This morning is church and I have to go pick up my great niece. She is able to go with me every other Sunday since the other Sunday's she is with her dad. She loves going to church and is now going to be a acolyte. She starts in December and she is very excited about it. I got the new Pastor's welcome gift in the mail the other day. We ordered his desk name plate through Cokesberry and got it on Tuesday. I was sorry that it didn't come in time for his welcome dinner but he is getting it presented to him this morning. He is so humble that he will say something about we shouldn't have done it. He is by far one of the most humblest people I have ever met. I just really like him and we have a good bond already. I am chair of the Staff Parrish Relations Committee and we work closely with the Pastor and other staff. I like doing it but sometimes it is more of a chore than anything. My real passion lies in the Care Calling Committee which is the committee that I chair. People know that is my passion because the minute that I start talking about that I have been told that my face lights up. It doesn't do that with the SPRC. But then again with all that has been going on I have been run ragged. Now with the organist resigning it is going to add some more stress. I informed Pastor that I am NOT going to go through what I did when I got the SPRC and was told the minute that I said yes that I had to find a new organist. I meet with Pastor in the morning to discuss that situation.
DS came over yesterday afternoon and pretty much cleared out the stuffed peppers and meatballs that I made. He left 3 meatballs and then said that he was suppose to bring some to Carol (his wife) but he didn't think he would. I told him he is most certainly going to take some and went to the kitchen and saw there was 3 left. I packaged them up for her and then washed the bowl and lid. I told Bill they were gone and I was really hoping for leftovers. I should have know because Shawn eats like there is no tomorrow. ha ha Nothing much is new on the baby front. George the new grandbaby is due on the 9th of April. you can tell that Carol is having the baby by looking at her now. She is pooching out some. She is wearing some maternity clothes and gaining weight. I think she is gaining a bit to much weigh but I am not saying anything. I refuse to be a buttinski. I figure if the doctor thinks that too she will say something to her most definitely. I am still saying it is going to be a boy. I can feel it in my heart and have since the day that Shawn told we were going to be grandparents. I just hope that the baby is healthy and happy. Those are the most important things.
Nothing else in much going on today. I will close for now and hope and prayer that everyone has a wonderful and restful Sunday. I pray that God keeps all of you in the circle of His loving arms and sends nothing but wonderful and blessed things your way. I am sending lots of love and hugs to all and prayers are going up for all of your well being. Special prayers are going up for those in need of them.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
