I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wow, $2.45, I was happy at $2.69 here yesterday ... it's the first time I put $20 in my tank and almost filled it up in more than a year. I almost cried.

Here the gas is down to $2.66 a gallon. I sure would like to see gas below $2.00 a gallon. I doubt that will happen here. To many money hungry people here. It seems if they can get a penny out of you they will. One gas station lowered their price and then a couple of hours later the price was up 1 penny.

Good Morning George and all my OFF Family,

Sounds like you had a blast George! Maybe you all will get together on a regular baisis for more fun.

Homecoming at Church today and of course we Baptist believe in eating!!!  Dinner on the grounds after church.  Got a big old pot roast in the crockpot reheating (cooked it yesterday) and some homegrown creamed corn in the pot.  (since I can't eat it much anymore I gotta pawn it off on someone else!) My daughter is bringing deserts. Mom bringing other veggies so we are set.

I have my Sunday School class at 9:30 this morning and will then go to the kitchen and help set up so we are ready as soon as the service is finished.  Guess I will wear some good jeans since I'll be in the kitchen most of today.  I still wear at least something home on my belly even if it is just dishwater!

Had a lazy Saturday just cooking and doing laundry while watching a couple of old movies with DH.

We met some friends Friday nigtht at Pure-Breeds for drinks.  They had a live band and it was very enjoyable.  I had my 1st alcoholic beverage, a margarita that I sipped on all evening.  (about 3 hrs) Glad it did not cause any problems. I am not much of a drinker never have been so I figure one every 6 months or so won't hurt.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and Monday will be a blessing.

Hugs and Prayers for all,

Happy Sunday Offers....

I've been up since 5:30 as I have to be at the church by 7:15 so the hand bells can practice before the service starts at 8.  Have to take my thyroid and wait an hour, thus the early getting up.  I may stay for Bible Class after first service.....they've been having breakfast during the class to encourage more folks to stay for the study.....so I may do that so I can have a little more breakfast.....will only have time  to grab a piece of PB toast before I go.

Ordered the cross stitch towels from Charles Craft on line yesterday....they've sure gone up in price!  Found that I had one on hand so got started on stitching that.
It was cold and rainy here all day and the only time I was out was to get the mail around 1 p.m.

Better get going now.....have a good day.

I can tell you the difference between a Texas Baptist and a North Carolina Baptist.  During football season there are no after church dinners on football Sundays.  Sometimes, maybe, on the day the Cowboys are on a bye.  Football is that big here.  I have been to churches that change their worship time from 11 AM to 10:45 AM on Sep 1st, then change back after the Super Bowl.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Morning George & Friends,
Yes, we did go to the party ... we had a good time, stayed till about 11:15. It was hard getting up at 5:30 though -  as we got to bed about 12:15 AM.
It started raining during the night and it's again windy, at least the temps are not too horrid, it's 62 . The forecast for Halloween is clear, dry and around 49 for a high.
Today we'll be doing our errands, getting groceries etc. Nothing much is planned beyond that. I made a big pot of beef stew yesterday so we'll be having leftovers tonight for dinner. Maybe we'll just have to plop ourselves down in front of the boob tube and watch a movie I got from the library last week. Tomorrow I have to make me buckle down and get the house in order with company coming next Sunday... it'll take me all week to get it done too...lol

Good morning, George and all!

You had a wonderful time with paintball.  And think of all the calories you burned up!! Plus you got the victory flag.  How sweet is that???

I really didn't have a problem at the community dinner at all.  Ate my 1/2 bowl of potato soup, it was delicious!  And watched other folks scarf down the other stuff!  The desserts didn't even ca;; to me at all, though there were some pretty ones.

Lost another pound, yipee!!!! When I hit 20 pounds you may here me yell all the way from Virginia!  At least the scale is going in the right direction.

A pretty slow Sunday, a quick meeting after church.  Hopefully a walk and a nap this afternoon, and then we need to get groceries as tomorrow is the OFFICIAL day for solid food.  I am going to make another batch of the turkey chili.  We really enjoyed it when i did it illegally!

Have a great day everyone!
