Well hello to you all!!!!  Hope your Saturday was good and your Sunday will be better.

Joyce - Did you get to go to the party?  Hope so.

Susan - Glad you got some relief. Keep that foot raised the rest of the weekend while you can.

Annette - What did you and Amanda do?

Linda - Hope that incision heals soon for you.

Jean - How did the community dinner go?  Just being 4 weeks out, it had to be tough.  But we have to take those challenges.

Candy - So, just how many of those little projects did you get done around the house?

Pat - You are nicer than I am.  That cat would not have liked my reaction to being bit.  Accident or not, I do not go for that.  Guess that is because I am not a cat person, and fortunately, we no longer have cats in the house.  Sorry, I got my dogs.

Barb - Fun at the pumpkin patch?  We took 2 of the grandkids on Oct 13, Mary took two more on Friday.  The only one we didn't get to take is the 11 year old (Eddie).  I understand about the winter coat thing.  I am going to have to get one this year.  Fat George didn't wear a winter coat, my fat kept me warm.  I am already getting cold this year, and the temperature is only in the 40s.

Karen - I am so sorry you had to go through the comments from your friend.  I hear it a lot, but I tell these people the problem is, they only knew the Fat George.  This is normal size George (I am lower than my weight when I got out of the Air Force in 1991).  The Skinny George is doing just fine, thank you.  My doc knows where my weight is and how I am doing.

Nancy - How did the wine making go?  I imagine if I liked wine, I would love to do something like that.

Brenda - When is your grandbaby due?  Our sixth will be here within 3 weeks.  Seeing my daughter Saturday, it could be today... LOL.  She is getting huge.  And, by the way, nothing beats babysitting grandkids.

Now for me....I've got to tell you about the paintball.  I had so much fun, but it wore me out.   The third game we played was Capture the Flag.  One team was in a fort.  I was on the attacking team.  Eight against eight.  Everyone was attacking the fort head on.  The flag was behind the fort.  I circled around slowly on the right.  As I got around the back of the fort, they had one person guarding the back.  I was about 100 feet from the flag.  I kept exchanging fire with the guy and he was distracted by something.  I continued to fire and got him.  So, now there was no one between me and the flag.  I started going towards the flag.  I could see into the fort and no one was paying any attention to me.  As I got to a protective area about 25 feet from the flag someone protecting the left side turned around and saw me.  He shouted out "He's.." and I got him.  So that is two down, but there was someone next to him that saw me.  Him and I exchanged fire.  I then decided to sprint to the flag.  (You have to grab the flag and then bring it back to the wall where I was).  I keep firing at the one that was left.   Got him, then grabbed the flag and VICTORY!!!  I was out of breath, but I would have been out of breath long before that game even last year.

Then I came home.  Went to dinner with Penny (prego) and her family.  Went to Whataburger.  I ate half a burger.  This is just so unbelieveable.  For breakfast Saturday morning I had 1/2 a breakfast toaster from Sonic.  Two hours later ate the other half.  I just love it.

Then laid on the sofa to watch the Penn State game.  Well, let's just say I woke up to see the last minute or so.  Now I am watching the World Series game.

Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good Morning George an Everybody,

Can't sleep tonight. Took the dogs out and it is snowing! Yuk! It's way too early for snow as far as I am concerned.
I am a Nascar fan and the Chase is on for the championship. The Chase is racing's world series. There is just four more races before the end of the season. I'll be watching the race and flipping back to Fox to watch football.
I didn't make it to my breathing doctor Wednesday. They called and canceled the appointment---so i am worried still about "passing" the tests they have to give me. It seems like this process of waiting will go on forever. I am not a patient person.
Weel, it's off to bes to try and get some sleep.
Eveerybody---have a Great Day!

Nancy
PS George, that paintball fight sounded like it was really fun. Glad you had a great time.

Hi George and my OFF family:

Gee George, I'm hurt ... you always leave me off your roundup ... I must be on page 2.

I was up til 2 watching the World Series ... it started late because of rain. I thought I was tired enough but stayed up to read and got engrossed in my book. But I put it down and tried to go to sleep ... then I couldn't. My back and knee hurt ... kept trying to go to sleep but couldn't get comfortable as my left leg was going number from my back pain. So finally I got up and took another vicodin ... I'm sleepy but just can't sleep, too much pain. I've got a good cat, too, he's trying to help me (he was purring in my arms) ... but it wasn't working.

Made a big pot of chili yesterday but started too late so it wasn't ready. I'll have it today. The house still smells of chili.

I ordered a pizza last night and did something real stupid ... I took out my money to pay the guy and thought I had given him everything I had. I had a $10 and three singles and some quarters. The pizza was $12.60, so I figured I'd give him $14. Well, after he left and I ate, I was talking on the phone and got up to the kitchen and saw the $10 on the dining room table. I was so embarrassed. I called the pizza place and apologized. I gave them my phone number and said if the driver didn't come back, I'd go over with the money I shorted him tomorrow (now today) or Monday. I feel so bad. The poor guy probably had to make up the money himself.

I guess I'll go sit and watch some TV and try to get sleepy enough to go to bed. I'm sure Scooter would like that. He doesn't like my sleepless nights.

I apologize for leaving you off.  I went back to see what might have happened (I always go back to the day before's thread).  What happened was I did not go to the second page.  Ooops... my bad.  I left off you, RaeAnne, and Debbie at least.

Again, I apologize and I will be more careful in the future.

I figured that was what happened ... I was teasing! I guess I should've put a  in there. It used to happen when one person did it for the week and they didn't look on the second page. No one really expects a rehash anyway except from you. So, did you watch the series? Pretty exciting finish, huh?

I don't mind doing the rehash.  I just like to remind people of stuff going on.  Plus, I have plenty of time overnight, with not much to do.

Hi, George and all the other OFFers to follow....
I jsut got in from work and need to wind down a bit before going to bed... I am getting there, though.

I went to my grandson's football game - it was Homecoming and he was Homecoming King... He is 7 and the first thing out of his mouth - *I don't want to be King* - but he did fine - remembered his manners.

Then I went to a pottery show that is just down the road from me - Bought a couple of pieces for Christmas presents.

Got home, took a load of clothes out of the dryer - made some tuna salad to take to work, fixed a low carb slim fast with a banana, changed clothes and off to work.  Thankfully gas has gone down quite a bit - paid $2.67 - I know that is not as low as some places are, but I was glad to pay it considering how it has been recently.

George - I can tell you had a great time with the paintball... was this your first time??  And you are so right about babysitting grandbabies... it ranks up there as one of my favorite things to do.  I also got to go to the Pumpkin Patch this past week.  Steele, my grandson's 1st grade class went and I was there to help him pick out a pumpkin !  We got two and I let him take both of them home.

Okay - I am going to finish reading The Shack and go to bed - work Sunday 7p-7a, so I will spend the majority of the day in the bed.  Yippee !

It was my second time paintballing.  The first was 12 years ago, right before my son went into the army.

Oh, and by the way, we paid $2.25 a gallon yesterday.  About 30 miles away, in Burleson, Texas, it is $1.97
