what's new saturday?
Good Morning Annette,
We just finished breakfast and John is getting dressed to go to work... I'm working on my first cup of coffee - trying to find a good enough reason to stay up after he leaves....yawnnnnnnn.
We had our first frost Thursday night so I dug up the dahlia tubers, pulled and discarded other plants that are now done for the year...general cleaning up things. I did go take a couple pictures of our outdoor decorations yesterday, want to go get a few more now at dusk so the lights will show up.
Were planning to go to a Halloween costume party tonight if John can find someone at work to cover for him from 6 to midnight- it's far enough away that he couldn't get back in time to take care of any emergencies. I hid the candy I got for the trick or treaters - you'd think I had a bunch of kids in the house - no, just 2 grown men who would scarf that stuff up given the chance in no time at all. We get about 30 - 40 kids at our house.... which is a huge amount considering there are nearly no children in this neighborhood - didn't used to have any stopping - till I started decorating etc..... now kids ask their folks to drive by our house...
Well it's time to fix him a cup to go and get some good bye smooches- enough to last me till he gets back - between 10 & 11 when he works on the weekend- they take turns in his dept... every 5 weeks it's his duty - Fri thru Thur.
So what do you have going on this weekend ? Anything special ?

Good morning one and all,
There's a bit of a nip in the air here this morning, enough that it's cool enough in the bedroom that I surely didn't want to get out of bed to let the dogs out. Seems my days of sleeping in past 5:30 are over. Sometimes Gary will get up with them, but even then I'm not far behind.
Work today won't be bad or long. Just three clients who are all lots of fun to be around. Then I'm home to put this stupid foot up!
One of the massage therapists at work used to be a physical therapist assistant and she checked out my ankle yesterday. She's sure the problem is scar tissue, so she did about 30 minutes of massage and got some of the swelling down. I can't get into the ortho until the 10th (good thing it's not a heart condition!) so maybe this will help until I get an answer from him.
Last night Tess and I met for what hopes to be the last time with the graphic artist. We cut and pasted the prototype labels onto jars and bottles, made quite the mess at Starbuck's, but had fun and YIPEEEEEE they look great! Can't wait to get this show on the road.
I'm off to the AR board to see what's going on there. Hope everyone has a healthy, happy and safe weekend, but most of all.....a FUN one!
Big hugs,

Your little pics are so adorable, Annette!
I've thought about asking to be put on a list, but with my schedule at work, I'd have to cancell or rearrange someone's appointment and then something else would get screwed up.......domino effect..
So, I'll just go with what our massage therapist told me and hang in there until the 10th.
Thanks for the well wishes....
Big hugs to ya

The furbrats are restless and typing was impossible. Annie was in her morning spot, upside down on my lap. She kept grabbing my hands and the keyboard. She jumped down the join the others in their race through the house.
I went to visit Mary, Matthew and Melanie. It was just in time for their afternoon walk around the block. Mary hesitated and asked if I could walk the mile. Nice to have her be concerned but the mile was no problem at all.
Matthew and Melanie got into a spat over me. So cute. We heard: "MY grandma" ... No, MY grandma".
My boss called and asked if I would mind having a newspaper photographer follow me and my client next week. They want to do an article about the agency, with photographs of what we do and where we go. Two years ago I would have turned them down.
Our 16 year old (grand) Amanda is coming over for the week end. She has been itching to check on me. I'm not sure what we will do yet. It will be fun, no matter what we decide.
I don't bother getting much Halloween candy. We live in the country and people no long stop at stranger's houses. It has been years since kids have gone house to house.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning everyone,
Just got my first cup of coffee, 4:30AM here but I fell asleep early last night.. Had my first post op appt on Thursday and have gone to soft foods. Cottage cheese never tasted so good. The lower incision just above my navel has opened and is leaking fluid. The nurse has me applying pressure dressings, hoping it will stop. So far it hasn't and is quite worrysome. Anyone else have this? Bowels are working ok but I'm still trying to figure out my new pouches full signals so I don't stretch it out. Guess this is all par for the course at just over one week out.,
I have an abundance of Gala apples this year to share and made some wonderful applesauce yesterday. Hard boiled some eggs and smashed them up with a little lite mayo. Also stocked up on soft groceries and those half cup storage containers. Fridge looks so different now with little tubs of jello, pudding, refried beans, pea soup. They should come in handy when I return to work next week..
Just a few lite chores planned today and coping with my leaking belly. Have a bright, beaming, better than average weekend.
Hugs, Linda
