Marc:

Loosing your job must be a terribly devastating feeling, especially when you are not in the best physical health right now.

Pleas know I will also have you in my prayers and hope to hear soon that you have found another position on line.

Take care my friend.

I'm so sorry Marc.  I know this must be a traumatic event for you.  Try the social services people in your area as well as any state vocational rehab option.  Many of these agencies will help you find a job and in the meanwhile give you some food stamps, provide transportation, etc. They want you back to work if possible. They may be able to find you something where you can sit all day or even work from home. I've had positive experiences with these types of agencies during times of trouble. It's only temporary until you can get back on your feet.  Good luck.

Marc,

We are facing some of the same problems here.  Being a Realtor is not the best place to be right now and finding a regular job is really tough.  Know that we are praying for all our friends and realtive that are facing the same situation and you are amoung them.  God will help us if we will let him.  Keep the faith!

Marc,

soooooooo... are you like, a shop teacher?  or a woodworker?  The community college here in Asheville takes proposals for classes from people who have a skill they can teach to others.  Maybe there's a 2 year school where you are has something like that?  You can make up your own class and get paid to teach it to the community.

Some of you may have seen my business via my website www.flutestar.com  .  Lucky me, I've got a niche which is virtually untouched, and since at this point I only want to work part time, I've got plenty of business.  But if our retirement money goes down much further, I'll have to work full time.  YUK!

I like this forum. I don't post a lot but I read it a lot.  Maybe by the time you're "over 50" you've lost the need for the ***DRAMA*** and ***FLAMING*** that plagues the other OH forums.    Maybe when some people get WLS while they're under anesthesia the doctor puts a permanent bug up their *ss??
