What's New Thursday?
I'm awake as always late, checking for my payroll deposit (not there yet) and need to get a prescription renewed for my prenatal vitamins. I'm really tired today ... took a nearly two-hour nap this afternoon in my recliner before I went into work, so that made up for the lack of sleep I had Tuesday night because I had to get up so early Wednesday for my appointment.
Kitty is still pooping on the bottom of the cat tower in the front bedroom. I am going to try the aluminum foil trick (some cats don't like the sound of it so they won't step on it ... my last two cats thought it was a toy, so it didn't deter them from anything). We'll see if this works. Whatever ... Diva is going to the vet on Monday, because she's the one I think is doing it, because she's the only one I've seen actually poop outside the boxes (in the bathroom while I was in the shower). Whether she's sick or just doesn't like to go in the litter box, I don't know ... she was going in it all these years (and was actually in the box today).
Enough of poop! We are cutting back even more at the paper. This week we started printing Muskegon, and the religion section got cut back because of that ... so I got stuck with some editing duties on the religion section again. It was one of the first big sections I actually did when I came here ... back then it was nearly 10 pages, now it's a mere four pages of copy, with two full page ads.
My PCP's office is on the ball ... the nurse already called today to schedule an appointment to clear me for my knee surgery (the surgery is Jan. 5). So things are moving along ... it won't be too long. I guess I can live with this pain for a few months more.
Well, I need to go get my prescription put in. Have a good day. Chat nicely and I'll check back later after my morning shopping.
I get to check my deposit every other Wednesday. I check at work to see what it will be. I split it between 2 banks. One of them has it posted to the account by 6AM Thursday, even though Friday is payday. The other gets it posted about 3AM Friday.
It's a wonderful day here in Big D! Temperature will be in the 40s in the morning for the next 4 or 5 days. at least.
Rangers named a couple of their coaches today.
I got an email from the Rangers about adding to my season ticket holder package.
Not too much sad going on in my life.
Saturday is coming soon. And I am going paint-gunning with my grandson. Watch out!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Eileen and Everyone,
Eileen - I'm so excited you are going to get your knee fixed! I think it's terrific and really hope this is the answer for your pain. I just feel it will be. I seem to be waking up earlier and earlier. That makes me more tired in the evening the next day but...... whatever!
We are having another heatwave here in So. California. Came out of work to 100 degree temperatures yesterday. I think our summer has shifted to be from August through October. The winds are supposed to kick up once again so that will mean more fires. I sure hope they aren't too destructive.
I'm off to work extra early today as I now have two coworkers out of the office. At one point yesterday I had 4 people needing something all at the same time yesterday and the..... the phone rings.... I have to go in early to get some work done.
Take care and have a great Thursday everyone.
Hugs,
Kathi
Its just beautiful here in Michigan with the fall leaves and all.
My knee is starting to feel better since the steroid shot.....still ouch, just the thought of it.
I am off to the office today, seems my intent was to get there yesterday but got sidetracked meeting up with an OH'r for coffee and we got to talking and the day was gone, we had a ball getting to know each other.
Have a simply beautiful, blessed, and healthy day all.
Eileen, I'm so happy you've finally gotten someone to take your knee pain seriously and it's getting taken care of. Enough is enough!
It's a cold rainy day here in AR, but the rain is only supposed to last until noon time, so I'll work around here until then and then go run my day off errands. It's nice to be able to break out the cozy clothes. I went to the sale at JC Penney's this week and found two nice warm up suits and two pairs of new pants. Saved a bunch of $$, which is always a good thing!
Work slowed back down this week, which is good and bad. Good for the ailing ankle but not so good for the budget. It's all okay though, things always have a way of working out. The ankle isn't as swollen today as it's been, mostly I think because I've been wrapping it faithfully every day. We'll see what next week brings before I do anything "official". Our massage therapist, who came to us from my old physical therapist's office, said it could be a build up of scar tissue. I'd bet she's right, so maybe some PT would help it. Again, don't want to go see the Ortho unless it keeps this up for a long time.
Well, my day off is as busy as a work day, so I'd best be getting on. Hope everyone is happy and well. Hugs to all!
Susan
