My son and his family live in Manhattan, "the little apple"........... very near to Kansas State University!  Her family is from Kansas, so they decided to settle near them.

I was from SE Michigan, northern Macomb county for most of my life... in the Lake St. Clair area.  We lived in the little town of New Baltimore for about 25 years.

I was born in Ohio! Wright Patterson AFB!  I was an Air Force brat until I was about 7, then we moved to Michigan where my mom's family lived.  My dad was from Indiana.

I am Carla and have been a member here for a long time.
I am from Benton Harbor Michigan then migrated to Chicago met my husband of 29 years and moved to Aurora Colorado. Now we are in Florida, Bradenton Gulf coast.
I love it here and the beach and I live around my cousins.
I have a daughter who is 26.
I had RNY almost 7 years ago. Or it will be 7 years on February 13th.
I also have 2 cats. Tevia and Pitt.

Either I get around, or it REALLY is a small world out there!  I lived near Bradenton for a couple years back in my early 20's.  For a while I lived in Palmetto, with my dad and his wife.  Then moved to a little house in Oneco.  I love the Gulf Coast!  Sometimes I wish I had never moved back up north....... but at the time, I was a single mom and my mom "guilted" me into coming back home to Michigan because I had taken her 1st grandchild so far away from her.  All things happen for a reason, and had I not moved back home I would never have met the eventual love of my life... my husband, Tom.  It was fate......

Congratulations on being 7 years out from a successful journey!!  Kudos!

Hello Vicky!  Nice to see you here. I really like the folks on this board, and I know that you will too.

I had VSG surgery 2 years ago this month, so I'm learning how to maintain my loss.  I've found lots of good information and advice here.
