Yes, WOOSTAH even!! (No R's in the New England vocabulary if they fall at the end of a word!)

I'd pronounce Gloucester as  GLOSTAH now, but would've pronounced it as Glouchester back in Michigan.

I've been told, since moving here that I HAVE an ACCENT!?!  I look at people like they are crazy and tell them............ I don't have an accent!!  It's all of YOU that talk funny! (hehe)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*  W E L C O M E ...   glad you gave up the lurking....  makes me wonder who or what else is hiding in the OFF shadows.....

Geee   I just finished up my decade of the 50's.  it ain't so bad    Now I'm starting a new decade, much healthier and much wiser....  I feel better now than I did when I was in my 40's.  Oh yes, surgery had helped me a lot.....

Having grown children and now the blessings of grandchildren.... well, life can't get any better.  We look forward to hearing more from  you....   Millie

Thanks for the welcome, Millie.

I do agree that I am looking forward to starting the next chapter in my life in a much healthier and (hopefully) wiser state of body and mind.  It's been a rough few years lately, but all that is changing for the better now!

I look forward to hanging around OFF!

Hi, Vicky:

Good to meet you.  I had lap band surgery Sept. 29th and am down 16 pounds and completely off diabetes medicine.

I am 55 (have to keep reminding myself, but my son turned 30 in SEpt!!).  He lives in Florida  (Air Force) with his wife and son, and My daughter is an RN and lives about 15 miles from me with her fiance and their 2 children, boy and girl. I am a United Methodist pastor and feel this surgery is a gift of God's.

I grew up in Kansas, but married a Navy guy and lived in Florida and Louisiana before moving to Virginia about 30 years ago.  We divorced about 19 years ago, and I am now married to a semi-retired beef farmer.

Keep in touch!

Hi Jeane!

Thank you for stopping by to say Hello.  I too have to remind myself sometimes that I really AM 52 years old.  Typically, I like to have fun and goof around so I don't feel my age!

My son (and father) were both in the Air Force also.  Dad served until I was about 7 yrs old.  My son spent 6 yrs between 1999-2005, then settled in Kansas with his wife.

I love Virginia, hubby and I took a drive through Virginia on our way to North Carolina early last fall.  Beautiful countryside.........

Have a great day,
Vicky

I live in the Central part of Virginia, near Charlottesville. It is really turning into fall here now, the leaves are all beginning to fall and turn colors.  We are to have a heavy frost tonight.

Hope to hear from you again soon.

Hi Connie!

It was the fun that you all have that finally pulled me out of the shadows!  I wanted to be a part of that too!

Congratulations on the excellent job you've done with your weight loss, and with becoming a healthier and happier person.

Take care!

Welcome to OFF, Vicky,

You are doing GREAT with your weightloss.  Congratulations!  I had RNY June 5 and all is good so far.  Your puppies sound adorable.  We lost the love of our lives - our little Lhasa Apso named Dalai - 2 years ago this month and I still miss her as much today as ever.  Enjoy those precious gifts.

I'm married and have two grown children and two grandsons.  One lives nearby and one is in Arizona.  I have a friend in northeast Massachusetts but have never been there myself.  Would love to see New England someday.  It's pretty far from Southern California and I'm sure very different.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you as you post with us here on OFF.

Take care and, again, Welcome!

Kathi

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words, Kathi.  I do appreciate the comfort the dogs give me.  It's an unconditional love... I'm sure you know.

I visited southern CA once, many years ago (I was 19).  I went to San Diego to see my brother graduate from Marine basic training.  Soooooooo beautiful there.  The perfect weather!

If you ever decide to visit your friend in MA, you'll have to let me know you are coming!

Take care,
Vicky
