IT'S WEDNESDAY - What's new with you?

There were many pranks pulled at that school as I was growing up.  I remember they had to close it once because Mr Mahoney (the chemistry teacher and basketball coach) (this was never proven) apparently put sulphur in the a/c system and stunk the school out.  Another time sulphur found itself in Mr O'Connell's desk.

How many years did you go there?  I have a sister who graduated in 1971 and another that would have graduated in 1974.

I went there for 2 years. . .  well the pranks going on the year I went there were fire alarms being pulled and racial tensions, which was why the school closed early, I think it was closed a week early. . .  different times.   Mr. O'Connell sounds familiar, my memory is not as sharp as yours, I just remember that my days spent there were fun and I liked going to school when I went there.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

What a memory you have George.  I'm lucky if I can remember my own name.  What do you do for a living? Are you involved in baseball in a professional capacity or is it just something you love?  I think those are baseball teams you always talk about... that's how ignorant I am about it.

I work in Customer Service for a living.  Believe it or not, I enjoy it.  I get annoyed with people around me though.  Complain because customers call in upset.  I just ask them when was the last time they called customer service because they were happy.

I have always had a knack with my memory.  But it doesn't always work.  I can go in the store with 5 things to buy and if I don't have a list, I will forget 2 of them.

I actually remember the numbers of all those streets that I lived on.

I am a baseball fanatic.  I love sports, but baseball is my passion.

Good Morning Margo,

Good luck with this job.  It seems like you're having lots of opportunities and I know that you'll get the perfect job in time.  Searching for a new job is often discouraging but usually works out in the end.  Your OFF Family is praying for a new future for you and you know how powerful we are.

thank you, floyd...this one came about in a strange way--the gal who caused all of the probs a month or so ago mentioned to me"oh i probably should tell you before i forget that there is aFTposting on the board upstairs"--didn't say that she had known about it almost a week,,,,or that she was applying for it--she will be astonded today to find out that i fit all of the qualifications and  will only need minimal training if i get it! that i am better qualified and actually more dependable than she is-tho she is the pet of the supervisor! we shall see what happens....

anyhow- prayers accepted!! thx...
how is your job situation going???

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi George, and Everyone,

Hard to keep going on only 3 hours sleep.  Sure hope you're able to get a little more today to catch up.  I wish we had your cool weather.  I got the paper this morning and it's foggy out but that will just turn into humidity a little later today.

Good news is I lost 3 pounds!  Not sure where they went overnight but they're gone.  Hooray.  Sure hope it's a trend but I highly doubt that.  Slow seems to be my mantra.

Coworker in the office came down with some sort of cold yesterday.  He stayed long enough to share the germs so I'm going in today with Lysol and hoping I don't catch the same cold.  Don't want it and sure don't want to bring it home to hubby.

Hope you and everyone has a great day today!

Hugs,

Kathi

Good morning y'all and best wishes with all those challenges and opportunities.  Enjoyed the first full day home from Fresno yesterday, chatting with guests and others on the phone, giving away apples and feeling well loved.  Also encouraged that I've lost the 10 lbs of post op water gain or whatever it was.  Shoulders still very sore but belly incisions seem to be getting better.

Today I'll catch up on the outside watering, get a belated birthday gift in the mail for daughter Sara and continue the clear liquids.  Anyone know what risk we run if we start drinking creamy liquids too soon?  Tomorrow it's back to Fresno, six hours round trip, for another doctor appointment.

Have a day filled with wonder and delight,  Carmel Valley Linda
