New to 50's and over board.

I am having my surgery the 18th of November. I am having a RNY. I have been on the Indiana (where I live) board and the November board, but this is my first time here. I have read some of the posts on here and you all seem like nice people. I just turned 50 this year. I figure I lived the first half of my life FAT, so I am going to live the last half thin!!!!!

Teanonna, welcome to OFF and pull up a chair and put your feet up and chat with us as often as you can.
I live in IN too, I am in Portage which is right on Lake Michigan. I am about 30-45 minutes from Chicago. Where are you at? I post on occasion on the IN board too but I find that it is OFF that holds my heart. It is so much less drama and I know that by the time I get to my age (54) I just want peace and quiet. No drama anymore. I been there and done that and to me it just isn't worth it.
We offer unconditional love and acceptance along with knowledge since there is a lot of people on here that know just about everything that you would ever need to know about wls. If you have questions just ask and someone will pop in with something.
I guess I better go but I have one thing left to tell you~you are part of us now so please post often so we can get to know you and you us.
