Hi Sweet Linda!

I'm working on geting back on track one day at a time. I hope to start planning my daily food again and stick to it, not just write it in my journal at the end of the day. I've been up since 2:30 am... nothing but Orange Spiced Tea yet. Earl just got up and turned the coffee on.  It is chilly here this am (42*) so maybe some oatmeal for breakfast.

Big hugs, Paulette

edit: I put my glasses on and looked at the thermometer again it is only 36* brrrrr........

Linda,

Today I have to do a final cleanup at Mom's assisted living facility so I can be ready when the moving truck arrives at 7 am tomorrow.  And I'm going to try to vote today.  When I went to vote yesterday, the place was mobbed and I just couldn't deal with it.  I'm not voting because I like any of the candidates this year, but because it's my civic duty and because once upon a time, some very gutsy ladies fought hard for the right for women to vote.

B: 1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk & 1/2 c. peaches
S1: 20-oz iced skinny latte
S2: SB cinnamon raisin protein bar
L:  2 oz baked crab rangoon
S: maybe some more baked crab rangoon
D: 3 oz chutney mustard chicken, 2 oz roasted green veggy mix
S:  4 oz SF pudding

Jean...

I think I want to come to your house to eat!

Is the baked crab rangoon and the chutney mustard chicken homemade? If so, could you post the recipe. Both sound so good!

So since I am here...

B- protein shake
S- greek yogurt w/ 1/2 banana
L- 3 oz salmon with mango and salsa
S- cheese stick with some green salad
D-shrimp with some veggies

Helen,

You'll find both recipes on my recipe blog, here: http://jeanslapbandjourney.blogspot.com/

Enter Crab Rangoon or Chutney Mustard Chicken in the search block at the top lefthand side of the blog page and click on Search Blog to find them.  You'll have to do a separate search for each recipe.

Hello,  Here's the first post op post.  You know the clear liquids routine already though...popcycles, juice, jello and Maren's fantastic soup.  There simply wasn't enough flavor in clear broth.  She adds a tomato bouillion cube, some Worchestershire sauce and just a little bit of one of the Trader Joes soups like red pepper or butternut.  Sure hope that still qualifies as clear liquid since it's a little harder to see through.

When I finallly saw the doc after the weekend, he had me discontinue the antibiotics.  Seems my swollen discolored belly is from internal blood seepage, a blister at the incision site and the CO2 that hasn't completely escaped yet.  Now I must drive back to Fresno on Thursday so he can make sure the bleeding has stopped.  Oh well, better safe than sorry.

And after the first couple of days my hunger has been totally absent.  What a blessing that is... to eat only because I must.

Luv ya, Me
