New measurements today

Whoo hoo !

I went to Curves this afternoon and was measured.  I have lost 17.5 inches in 5 weeks.  I was so excited.  I have really been working hard to ge****er aerobics in twice a week and Curves twice a week along with my mini cycle and treadmill at home.  And of course, you know how it is....  all this work/exercise - is it doing any good???  And the answer is YES !

All the pre-op folks out there - please take time to measure.  I wish I had done so before surgery, but didn't, so I will never know what my stats could've been, but I have started now.

Yeeeee Hawwww way to go Shelia!!  I am so happy for you.  My scale started moving a tiny bit downward thank goodness.  Lost another pound.  Haven't updated yet but I will soon.  Keep up the good work!

Vera - glad you are doing well.  I have been so close to the 50 pound mark that I went to Curves today - even out of my way - because I wanted to see what the inches were looking like.  It really made a big difference in the way I felt when I left there.

Keep it up - it does work.

Sheila,
It is never too late to start taking measurements. The tape measure is so friendly! Great results and a whole bunch of hard work.

I always encourage people to take their pre-op measurements. That first time can be frightening but the rewards are satisfying.

Good job

Annette,
You are so right - any time is better than none... I am going to get a fill on Tuesday and hopefully see the scales move down a bit more.  I feel that I am working hard and I appreciate the applause to support my efforts !

Sheila, it kind of reminds me of the movie Field of Dreams but in reverse. Instead of build it and they will come we just say do it and they will go.

Congratulations on the hard work and perseverance. It pays off and you are proof of it.

Shelia,
Those are great stats!!!!  Congratulations for all your hard work.  Just like you I wish now I had gotten my measurements before surgery.  I did get them one month out so I can start tracking and seeing results from that point on.  I've got 2 weeks before my  next measureing day.  I am so looking forward to seeing the results of all of my hard work.  I wore a blouse yesterday that was busting at the seems the last time I put it on.  Had to keep yanking at the hem for it to stay over my belly fat.  Yesterdayi it was actually loose!  I;ve never been to Curves but the more I think about it, that may be a good starting place for me outside of my home.  I stilll feel too intimidated to go to a gym or the Y..

Keep up the great work!  YOu are doing awesome!!!!
Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...
