What's New Thursday?
Hi my OFF family!
It's early Thursday morning and I'm online late because I'm checking to see if my payroll deposit is in (it is!) and paying my phone bill, getting a prescription filled, you know, doing those little things you can do online late at night. It rained most of the day after I went into work. The daytime people had an Oktoberfest feast ... but all that was left was some a few pieces on a meat and cheese tray and some green beans and some rye bread. The organizer said she was going to save me some German chocolate cake (my favorite!). Ah well, probably for the best. They have been doing these little "feasts" lately but forgetting about the night staff (whi*****ludes more than me now because sports is working nights too). I think we're going to have to start some nighttime traditions, too. (Oh, I had my own little Oktoberfest ... leftover Frankenmuth food from the Bavarian Inn).
My boss asked for Thanksgiving volunteers, and I already did that ... couldn't get the Friday after off, so might as well work Thanksgiving since I'm stuck here ... I'll make triple time and I need the extra money. We also got the notice that next week, our printing plant starts printing the Muskegon paper, and our deadline gets even earlier (poor morning crew, they get to start even earlier than they already do).
Not much else is new with me, I guess. Just work. At least it's a shorter workweek with the day off on Monday.
Chat nicely; I'll be back later in the day. It's Thursday, so it's payday and that means shopping, etc. And gas is below $3 again!

today i'll try to donate plasma again-my iron was 1 pt low yesterday-bummmmmmer--wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the drive to get there!

i stayed up to watch the whole debate and i think i'll pay for it today- just sleepy-also i think my cpap nose pillows are too big and leaking air out kept me awake more than i should have been.....
michael's visit with the second realtor sounds interesting- she sure doesn't sound right for us no matter what the market !

then they tell me that sunday the 19th is the day that is last i can donate til i have a physical and they are scheduling for nov 7th--wth???????????? computer only sends up warning two weeks before due--and no one told me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!one gal pulled some strings and got me an appt for next thurs so i should be ok!!!!!!!!!!!!! of course; i'll have to miss work....shucks.....

I wish we could get some rain here in Southern California. It's dusty, dirty and the soot and smell from the fires makes it hard. I paid $3.19 for gas yesterday at Costco, the membership warehouse store here in the area. I thought that was good until I heard you and Margo say you are under $3.00. I hope it continues to drop in price.
I finished sewing the last of the burp cloths for my baby shower present. Phew. Glad to have that project finished. Still working on my work project and will be thrilled to see November come and move on from it. We got flu shots yesterday so hubby is on "rest command" today while I am working.
Nothing else new to share. I think I lost a pound if I read the scale right at this early hour. I don't count it until it stays for a few days. Have a great Thursday one and all.

Good Morning Everybody !
It's a gloomy day here , going to rain later they tell us... yuck and I get to walk in it. I'm on the desk today at the museum and then will go get the mail and puddle jump home. At least it's still in the mid 50's , there's a colder front expected though by tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning at 7, I get an MRI done on my right knee and see the Dr about the results next week. I suspect it may be time to take some more cartilage out that's torn and giving me grief.
I don't have much news to relate today but am at least keeping in touch... I had 287 photos to upload from our trip.... that'll take me awhile to get editted I'm sure.
After crunching all the numbers.... we put on 3931 miles, spent $545.21 on gas, averaged 24.99 mpg,average per gallon came out to $3.45. which when broken down even further came to .14 cents a mile. We drive a 2001 Nissan Quest mini van.Which we named Nessie.

Good morning, Eileen and my other OFF family. I am so hoping that today is good......no.......make that wonderful day for everyone.
I have to go into the church office this morning. Yes, I know.....so what else is new? I have to do the charge conference forms for pastor and I tried to get them up on my computer and I can't get them. I had trouble with them at the office too. For some reason they aren't letting us use them on the computer like they have in past years. At least in the office they come up which is more than I can say for the home computer. But why that bothers me I don't know since I have copies of them any way.
I am going to get my hair cut sometime today. I am not sure when. I am hoping to do it early but all I know is that it is looking mighty awful. I took my shower last night before bed and when I was combing it there was a BIG curl in the back that just kept insisting to stick out no matter what I did with it. I have to get it taken care of whether it is someone who knows what they are doing with it or it's me and trust me on this.....I don't know what I am doing and it will show too!
I have my one year appointments today too. I go see the nurse at 2:30 and then to the doctor at 3:00. I am so afraid to go for some reason. I have never felt like that at all. For some reason I just have a thought that he is going to tell me that I am a wls failure. I am satisfied with the weight loss but I do wish that it was more. But hey! I am happy because it would have been a gain in weight without this miracle that I had done for myself. I just don't want to be a failure to him. He does so good and I just want to make him pleased. If he thought that I was a failure I would just want to crawl under the carpet. I will keep you posted on whether or not I am a success or a failure in Dr. Stanish's eyes. Wish me luck!
Misty goes in the morning to get her doo done. I am going to be so happy when she gets her hair cut. All she is doing is itching and grooming. I told her that she had longer hair before but she doesn't listen to me. Imagine a cat actually listening....I don't think it is going to happen. She is driving both of us nuts too. I explained to her that she is a long hair cat and she had much longer hair before but all she knows is that she is uncomfortable for some reason. Maybe when she gets the haircut she will stop wanting me to scratch her all the time. I get am getting tired of that. She is just wanting me to do that all the time. Especially around her neck. So I told Bill that Jeanne is going to have to make sure all the hair is off the neck for her. Otherwise she goes nuts when it starts to grow out and get any length to it. If Misty isn't happy no one is happy in this house and she makes darn sure of it.
I guess I had better get to going. I am having to do some things before leaving for the office. I will chat later on and I am sending lots of love and plenty of big hugs to go with it. I am keeping everyone in my prayers with special ones going up for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile.
Oh before I forget....which I did by the way........gas here in Portage just went to $2.99 yesterday. I am so happy but I am afraid that it is going down before the election and then they are really going to let us have it full force after the election is over. I hope and pray that I am wrong. I envy those who are paying less and my heart goes out to those paying more. I am so hoping that it just keeps going down some more. I will love it while we have it.

I haven't put gas in my car for over 3 weeks. Staying home has saved me $$$. ??? No paycheck coming in and I think money has been saved - SILLY ME!
It is cold and rainy here today. My boss called and asked if I felt up to attending the employee recognition event today. It is too brrr cold to leave the house.
It's a perfect day to read, work on crafts and .... don't know what else. Try to appreciate time off I guess.

I didn't get up until almost 8 a.m. today....had one of those nights when I couldn't get to sleep....finally took a tylenol PM and drifted off sometime after 1 a.m.
If drinking a whole glass of water with my thyroid will do the trick, well yesterday I had oodles of energy....it was
weird...it was like I was in high gear....LOL.
Hand bells went a little better last night.....I am a musician, but have never done bells and I'm telling you it's a real challange.....I get really frustrated when I can't keep up....the rest of the group tells me I'm doing just fine for only 2 weeks, I don't know! Will see how it does
next week.
Changed the bed clothes this morning and since they don't need me at the rummage sale I am off to do some shopping in Three Rivers. Want to look for one of the electric fireplaces and need a new filter for my humidifier

The bank reversed the overpay on my check -- darn! They said they never would have found it if I hadn't brought it to their attention.....I couldn't have slept knowing it was
the wrong amount...just too honest.
The furnace came on this morning -- think it was about 43 degrees when I finally got up.
Gas is $2.74 here and I filled the van for $30 -- it was almost below the half mark.....

Went to the Stars game last night. They won 6-4. Got home and watched some DVR's shows - took the night off from work. Went to bed at 3 AM, got up at 8:30 or so. Now I will have to take a nap in a little while.
