OT: did NOT get the job
I'm so sorry Margo. I know the feeling well. You think the interview was perfect. You're sure you'll get the call. When it doesn't happen it is very hard to deal with. That said, I can also tell you that you will get past it and something else will come along that will look just as good to you and you will be the one they call. In a few days you'll be fine and ready to go out there and start looking again. Have faith. Things always happen for a reason.

Margo,
I am so sorry about the job...I can only agree with the others.
This year when I was looking for another job, I thought I had one and in fact was told I was going to be asked to take the job and then a few days later I got a "we picked someone else" letter in the mail! I was very very disappointed, but now am sooooo thankful I didn't get it. About a month later I got a call from my old employer who I really wanted to get back to work for asking if I would come back! I did and I am very very happy I was in the spot ready to take it!
So...I too believe something even better for you is waiting in the wings....
Take Care,
Cheryl

Oh Margo, I am so sorry this happened. We can all say it is for the best. You can tell yourself there is a reason, but it still sucks and makes you feel awful. Pitching is a good stress reliever. Be sure to wear gloves. We had black walnuts in OR and that stuff gets on your hands, dyes them a dark brown and is nearly impossible to get off! I hope the housing market improves, so if you do decide to sell, you can get a good price.
