this gnome seeker is home!
arrived safely in maumee at 1pm to the appointed meeting place for hubby to pick me up...drove to our house by 2 pm and was greeted by an excited roxiedog!
am unpacked and in my jammers!
finally ate my honeycrisp apple from our goodie bags! pat r picked them up for me in michigan -OMG...awesome apple!!!!!!!!!!!!
i use the old fashioned cameras so i can't post til i get my pics developed-many folks did take digitals and hopefully some will post soon...also-now that debbie has met me we can change my cow avatar!!!!! joyce took a photo at lunch yesterday that i think would work! unfortunately; we forgot to take a group photo while john and joyce and debbie were there so our group shots are without those three...booooo ...however! they do incluude our wonderful frankenmuth hats- a few of us purchased red "trenker" hats complete with green feathers ...a hoot!
i taught carla, paulette and eileen how to knit using my knifty knitter looms last nite so they may start cranking out hats and scarves etc on their own looms..... you already know that nan got a hair cut and i got a trim....carla admitted that i did a very good job when i cut my own hair a few weeks back!
frankenmuth is awesome! a darling town! wonderful flower beds everywhere along main street--great food tho not all of it is wls friendly! obvioulsy touristtrap is written in large letters as you enter town so beware your wallet- it could empty fast! easy walking to most of the things we did including the farmers market complete with an entertainer( guitar player/singer). Bronner's at night is beautiful! i have to admit that i was overwhelmed when i was inside the store- total overload!!!! and there are 74 days til Christmas!!!!
we had some wonderful conversations at meals and in the wee hours and loving hugs that will hopefully hold us over for a while! i made new inperson friends now that i have met debbie and floyd and brenda and nan and phyllis (and her hubby! a sweet , very tired very tall man!!) and renewed the bonds with pat r and paulette and carla and eileen and diane u and jackie and joyce and john..... the fellowship and the love make these events a success!!!!!! we are already planning a reunion gtg next fall in shipshewana, indiana and will encourage others to join us!!!!!
i'm really hoping the other gnome seekers will chime in with their own stories and "take' on the weekend! i think i'm going to go work on my mother's hat!
hugs to all....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Margo, I wanted to much to meet everyone and especially you. As I have told you in the past you hold a special spot for me. I think it is Margo's Place in my heart. I made plans for Frankenmuth and they feel through. I cried most of the day Friday and told Bill I am never going to look forward to something ever again because I hurt so bad when my heart breaks. But I know that I can't do that because life would be terrible if I shielded my heart all the time from loving and looks forward. So........I hesitate to say this but Shipsewanna would be great if you ask me. You know they have a big flea market and my bgf's dh always says about going to Shipsewanna and buying' all the **** you wanna! But, I refuse to say that I am going since then for sure something will come up and I can't.
How far are you from Shipsewanna anyway? I am about 2 to 2 and half hours...........soooo........I am wondering if we could meet somewhere half way? Is that a doable thing for you sometime?Let me know and maybe we can get some plans going. Maybe Pat R. could meet us too since she is so close?
