IT'S SATURDAY!!!! - What's new with you????
Happy Saturday, George, and Everyone!
Stopping by very quickly to check in. Good to see the Frankenmuth get-together is going great!
I'm so happy to hear Annette is doing well too. 4" x 6 " mesh -- gives us a visual.
George - you have a very busy life!
We're off early this morning as hubby must have labwork done before a doctor's appt. on Monday. He's a good stick so no biggie. Then I must get some shopping/errands run. Dinner tonight with some friends we haven't seen since they moved out of area. We miss seeing them more often so this will be alot of catching up!
Take care and enjoy this glorious Saturday each and every one!
Hugs,
Kathi

Hi everyone - it seems that I can post only on the weekend. I am always in a rush in the morning trying to collect my books and papers and head off to the college.
This is a beautiful weekend here in Canada!! It's supposed to 75 today and it is sunny and dry. It'll be a great weekend to get more done outside before the cold weather hits. Frankenmuth is only about 75 miles from me, so the folks who are there for the weekend will be experiencing the same beautiful weather. It's Thanksgiving weekend, too.
I bought my house a year ago, and for such an old house, it surprised me by not having any plants or bushes except for one lonely sickly-looking rose bush in the front yard. So, I have had three gardens dug - two in the front and one in the back. Last night, after all kinds of dirt and composted manure were added, a Rose of Sharon, two euonymous, mums, hostas, tall grasses and tulips were planted!!!! Finally, besides the 15' fence of morning glories that I planted in the spring, there is much more in the ground. Next year will be filled with flowers, and bushes and vines and I'm really looking forward to it. However, I have to get through winter, first.
I have not had wls surgery, yet. I applied in the summer and was turned down by my provincial health care provider - I am considered a lightweight - HA!! Anyway, I appealed and purolated the appeal September 18. I have been waiting since then for an answer. I called last week to find out what was going on and was told that forms were purolated to me Sept. 25!! I never received them. The forms were sent again Thursday; however, nothing arrived yesterday, so they should be here next Tuesday.
It's been a long road to wls surgery, and I'm not giving up. I look at your pictures and see the miraculous difference the surgery has made in your lives, and I want that difference, too. I'm not about to give up; I'll keep you posted.
I plan on being outside as much as possible today, Sunday and, in between turkey and mashed potatoes, on Monday too.
I wish you all a blessed and love-filled weekend and, to the group in Frankenmuth, shop till you drop and have lots of fun!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/jump.gif)

Aloha and good early morning OFF family....
George, thanks for getting us going, and for the recap. That used to be such a nice part of the thread.
It's just 5:00 a.m. here and I'm dressed and ready to head to the hospital in about 15 minutes to screen my babies' hearing. It's pitch black outside, and my kitties have been fed and are sprawling on the unmade bed all blissed out and ready for the first nap of the day! What a life, eh?
It is such a joy to have my computer back, and speedy, too!
I manage a condo here in the complex and I have visitors coming in on the Hawaii Super Ferry at 9:00 a.m. I sure hope I am finished with my babies and home by then. I'm thankful for all the little part-time jobs that I have....they sure help making ends meet in this crazy, high priced world we are living in!
I'm so glad to hear news of sisters in various stages of their adventure. Annette.....so glad you are on the mend, even if you have smoke coming out of your ears at times! KarenC.....anticipation on moving into new home must be so exciting. Susan.....yeah, on your healthy checkup!! Gives me hope for those of us who are on the skinny side. George, it makes me tired to hear of your life! You are a "goer and a doer! To the rest of you I missed....know that I care about each every one of you....just must dash out into the early morning darkness and go meet some new members of this planet!
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen

Hi Everyone,
It's another beautiful day! Mu husband and I are cleaning house- needed a little break. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday and tonight we will meet with friends to celebrate in a group. We are not having a big open house as I'd hoped because the renovations are midstream. Everything should be done by our 30th anniversary- HA! Time to get back to work! Hi to all in Frankenmuth!

Happy Saturday everyone!
I made a trip to the neighboring "city" to GNC to get more protein powder that took about an hour and 1/2.
When I got home, had a call that one of the church members was in an automobile accident. Some one, speeding, rear ended Jeff on an off ramp and he hurt the back of his head. He is in ICU. They hope that after another scan today to move him to a regular room.
I am still on "sick leave" until Monday. At first my adrenaline got pumping and I was thinking "I have to get to Richmond to see Jeff!" (Which is an hour and 1/2 away) But I called his son (who is in my youth SS class and called his wife and she will tell him I am in prayer for him. I decided I need to keep caring for myself and just stay home (got in my walk!) unless things get worse.
Also, my grandkids (Ty-age 10 Dec. 26; Kaitlyn-just turned age 8) are coming to stay with me at 5:30 while their parents go out. I haven't had a chance to be with them alone for a couple months so it is important to spend Grandma time with them.
Taking care of myself is a new adventure in my life and is going to be a struggle. But with all of you there to help me, I will be oK.
Blessings,
Jeane
