Greetings George and Friends,

It may be kind of quiet here on OFF this weekend. But that's ok. I hope all who are getting together have a wonderful time. I sure have enjoyed my "encounters" with OFF friends all over the country.

Today most of our outside concrete finally got poured. Under the deck and on the sides of the house including the hot tub pad, oh joy! I sure miss that tub.  Carpet layers were hard at work, appliances getting put in place. And best of all the builders assure us we WILL have occupancy by October 18th! Woo hoo!

I attended a support meeting last night. First in many months. It's sponsored by a doctor who does mostly Lap Band, but all are welcome. It was good for me. Today while Mike was at McDonalds having coffee with the retired teachers I got ready, called him and told him to pick me up "on the way to the new house" in about 45 minutes. Maggie and I started out. After about 1 mile I had to carry her. One mile for a 5 lb dog is a lot of steps! Mike picked us up and we went on to the house. I figure I got in at least 2 miles. Not much but a start. No excuse for me to not be doing that every day. I used to be absolutely religious about my gym and exercise program. I have let it lapse and unfortunately nothing stands still for me. And if I'm not losing I'm gaining. Unlike some who can stand to gain a few, I'm not one of those. Still want to lose and need to do my part to make it happen.

Mike and I are headed to a matinee of "Appaloosa."  Don't often find a movie that we'll both enjoy. I like Ed Harris and Mike loves westerns.

Then after the movie we'll go back up to see what has been done in our absence.  Trying to decide between Charter Cable Bundle of services and Direct TV. . . any words of wisdom anyone?

It's supposed to be in the TWENTIES here tonight!! Way too early for me. Can't wait to be sitting by our new gas fireplace. We had a fan put on it and I plan on a lot of hours curled up on the sofa reading and enjoying the warmth. We've always had wood. I'll miss that but not the mess!

Gotta run. You all have a nice weekend.

Good afternoon to you my wonderful and loving OFF family.

Yes.......I am home and not in Frankenmuth. It is a long story and I cried most of the morning. I wasn't feeling good all morning and as the day has gone on it has gotten worse. I had some chest pain this morning. I know just what it is......the cardiomyopathy and when I get the pain that I had it is telling me that I am tired. I just didn't feel comfortable driving all the way up there (4 hours) and then back again tomorrow just in case. With this problem you never know. Now as the day has gone on my blood pressure has gone back down and I am feeling very lightheaded and off balance. So I guess it was a good decision on my part to stay home. But the tears still come because I was so looking forward to going. It has broken my heart. I told Bill that I am never going to look forward to another thing in my whole life.

I have stayed home today and done absolutely nothing at all. I get up and walk to the kitchen and the bathroom and that is it. I do take that back....I packed Bill's lunch and that was it. It feels strange not going anywhere or doing anything. Now I feel like it was a waste of time.

I guess I had better get going. I am just going to continue to do nothing at all. I am sending love and hugs to all.........prayers are going up for everyone and special ones for those in need of them. Have a wonderful and blessed day with what is left of it anyway.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
