Hello everybody and good Friday morning.

Prayers for a safe trip for all those traveling to Frankenmuth.

Easy day.  Got to watch Eddie play ball.  I had not seen him in this uniform.  Solid black.  He looks taller in that uniform.  And his legs look so much longer.  But he is all legs.

His team won 12-5.  He bunted for a hit leading off the 1st inning for his team.  Stole 2nd.  Stole 3rd.  Scored on a wild pitch.  His next time up he got on on a fielder's choice.  Not a bad day.  He did tag a runner out trying to score on a rundown play.  He also made an error when he was trying to turn a double play before he got the first out.  It's ok, he is still learning.

I came to work 3 hours late.  So a short night.  3 1/2 hours before I go home.

Only really scanned yesterday's posts.  The prevailing theme seemed to be, "traveling tomorrow".  The other thing that stand out in my mind is poor Aime.  Prayers are with you and your family over your loss.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning George and all,

Eddie's game sounds like a good one. These young boys turn into such long-leggered people. You must be proud to watch him play.

My daughter sent me a book - The New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. It is from Oprah's Book Club and she also sent a copy to her MIL. Since she sent it to both of us, I was afraid it was going to be a preachy, self-help book. (Mary thinks we are both in need of massive mental health reform ) Although just starting the book, I am finding it to be interesting and very well written.

My waist is 6 inches bigger!!!I know it is still swollen from surgery but YIKES it makes me upset. I refused to get on the scale, too depressing. I see the surgeon today and will ask when I can resume exercising. The rest of me is looking rather boney and I have been eating okay, maybe less than usual. Don't like having a belly.

All evening, I kept thinking about our Aime and her family. Makes my problems seem minor.

Kisses

Good morning everyone and hang in there Annette.  I can honestly say that Tolle's book, A New Earth, changed egoistic thinking that I hadn't even been aware of.  I have since bought it on CD so I can listen to it in the car periodically.

Work is moving along nicely.  The auditors finished their field work yesterday so I can revert to concentrating on normal responsibilities and preparation for surgery next week.  Today it's payrolls and board packets for the meeting on Wednesday.

Went to our hospital bariatric support group last night, led by a knowledgable dietician and met some very supportive people there.  Plan to start making lists and continue prepping and packing for the hospital trip this weekend.  I'm also looking forward to spending some time with my friend, Gil.  I'll also be thinking of our fun friends in Frankenmuth.

Prayers of peace and prosperity in these uncertain times.

Good Morning OFF Family!

Wishing everyone arrives at Frankenmuth safely and can't wait to hear the tales of fun times had by those attending!

Yes, our dear Aime and her family are probably on all our minds and in our prayers today and the coming days. . .

Today will take me to the gym and then I have lots to keep me going this weekend, lawncare being foremost and number one, got to get it all done and powerwash the porch,  so a large part of my workout this weekend is going to be outdoors and looking like the weather will support all that I need to get it done.

Tomorrow I will be attending a meeting to see about becoming a support group leader at the facility where I had my surgery, there are about 6 of us interested in doing it, so we'll see how it all goes, I'm just excited that we will now have 2 meetings a month, one of which is going to be on a Saturday, so that gives more options, as well as additional support.

Oh well, I'd better get off here and ready for the gym, wishing you all a wonderful day and you are all in my daily prayers and thoughts, most especially those going through struggles.

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning George and all,

Glad it's Friday. Tom is taking vacation day today and will start the painting and sanding in the bedroom.

I am going scrapbooking tonight with my sister and am hoping I can get my creative part of me flowing again. I have been so stuck and I want to get back to the passion I have had for my scrapbooking which is my "art" and expression of me back again. I miss it.

Hoping someone doesn't forget to take me in their pocket to the get together!

Up to the treadmill...have a lovely day...

Hi,
leaving for work in a few minutes but wanted to say "hi"...haven't been around much lately...been in contract negotiations. Yeah I know there are many that don't believe in unions but here's only one of the points we are fighting for...Management wants to have employee breaks "optional"..left up to the supervisor's descretion. We don't get lunch breaks..only 2 15min breaks in a 7.5hr day. That's only the tip of the iceberg. So, been busy going to Madison for several days a week to "play".
Hope everyones' weekend is a good one!

Good morning everyone..it has been sooo long since I have been here even to read..and then to come today and see Aimie's post...so sad....

I stopped in to ask for prayers for an interview I have on Monday for position at a Dr.s ofc.  I worked in medical field before I gave birth to my last daughter but that was 16 years ago, and I have been out of the loop.  I was praying Monday that if the Lord wanted me to work full time he would have someone pelase call me. I have applied everywhere!  Well, Wed I get a phone call from an ofc where I had sent my resume over one year ago. The gentleman said he never throws resumes away and would I still be interested.  I said of yes I am and he said could I come Monday, and I again said yes of course.   So I have an interview on Monday morning.  Also, my girlfriend who works there didn't even know they are looking for someone or that he called me.  So she is letting him know of our relationship and that I would be an asset to their ofc.  So now I wait and see what happens.

Good to see everyone again.  I have just been so busy with homeschool and everything else in my life.

It is working in Oncology and I love it because of being caregiver for wonderful MIL for almost 4 years in her home I have experience with hands on challenges and would love this job.  I will let you know the results....

Good morning all.

Dear Husband is getting ready to go to the farm and keeps interrupting me this morning, so I guess that is so I won't miss him as he is going to spend the night.  He's getting on my nerves right now!

I get to go to the lap band support group at my hospital for the first time at noon today.  They meet twice a month and I am looking forward to getting this additional support into my routine.

Other than paying bills, that is the majority of my day!  Oh, and getting my walk in!!!

Blessings,

Jeane

Aloha Joan....it is so good to see you posting.

I have a good feeling about this job interview for you. The job sounds perfect and your qualifications excellent.

My experience has shown me over and over that the RIGHT position comes if I'm patient, and "get out of my own way." If I try to make things happen, they usually don't work, but if I trust and leave open the possibilities, do the homework, and listen......amazing things have happened. I wish that for you, my friend.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

As always Karen, your words comfort and encourage like a soft blanket on a damp and chilly evening where no balmy breezes blow.  Thanks....will keep you posted and my hands are off this one and letting Him direct my path.
