Aloha Patti......my surgery sister...only ONE DAY Apart! Thank you for your sweet words. I deeply appreciate them.

How are YOU doing? Are you at goal, and how are you feeling about the whole journey? I love talking with others who had surgery very close to when I did......and hearing their story.

I'm so glad you posted.....mahalo!

Aloha surgery sistah! How are YOU doing now that we're just over two years out?  I'm doing well;  have been at goal just over a year and immensely loving active living in this new body!  However, have had balance and falling issues, surprisingly not related to the MS, but due to excess fluid-filled skin in the thighs.  Am having double medial thigh lift on the 20th--only ten days away.  Just got home from final pre-op visit with the plastic surgeon, which has definitely allayed some anxiety about the loooooooooooooooong recuperation.  Will have swollen thighs and possibly lower legs and feet for the holidays, though gotta keep focused on the end result--even if it takes six months or longer.  Will be having mini-panni in the spring, followed by upper thigh/butt lift. All deemed medically necessary, so gratefully , at zero cost just like WLS.  Yeay, looking forward to regaining equilibrium and no more falling!  Looking forward to our update Maui Karen!  Aloha nui loa, Minnesota Patti

Karen....good morning pretty lady!!

It is so wonderful to have you back. I had been asking about you but got no response. I was getting worried. I am so glad it was nothing more then computer problems.

As for Aime....the news was certainly sad to hear. Bless her heart! She has had so much to endure in the last year or so. What a grand lady she is. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

You have been missed....welcome back!! We need you here as a part of our family.

Love and hugs.....connie d

Aloha beautiful Connie......Thank you for worrying about me. I love how we do that with each other in the OFF.

You are such a wonderful constant in here...so loving and supportive of everyone, even when your own life is full of stress and worry. You are a "light." Thank you for being here.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Oh, I am so glad to see your beautiful face gracing my computer screen this afternoon. I have missed you and your wise words full of such wonderful and loving wisdom. I am glad that it was just computer problems and nothing with you. But I do know how terrible computer problems are. We have become so dependent on our little puters to share our words and love with our OFF family. I think so much of my OFF family and always talk of you as the family that I chose.

It is truly sad news of Aime's family and their loss. It is such a tragedy but what she left behind is truly a wonderful legacy. I think that what you leave behind to those we love is the most important thing in this world. Norronda has left a wonderful legacy to everyone. Including our family.

I had my 1 year surgiversary on the 8th. I was going back in time and it is so hard to believe that a year has gone by. My life is so changed. I may not always be able to do what I want to but I stop and think at least I am here today and can make plans and live them out. I was only existing a year ago. I thank God every day for the new and so greatly improved life that has been given to me. It is because of the things that He has given to me, that I must always give back to others.

I love you, dear MK and remember that you are a beautiful and kind and loving person and one that we treasure in our family.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
